Job Summary
The Senior Director of Acquisition will lead the strategic and executional efforts for customer acquisition across all paid media channels for Medterra and its portfolio of ecommerce wellness brands. This role is responsible for driving efficient and scalable growth through data-driven campaign execution, team leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous optimization of performance marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive acquisition strategies across paid search, paid social, affiliate marketing, influencer partnerships, and programmatic/display channels.
- Manage daily execution and performance optimization of campaigns to maximize ROAS and minimize CAC across multiple brands.
- Oversee a high-performing team of acquisition marketers, fostering a culture of testing, innovation, and accountability.
- Directly manage the Director of Influencer Marketing, ensuring that influencer programs are strategically aligned with overall acquisition goals and performance metrics.
- Partner with creative and analytics teams to produce, test, and iterate on ad creative, landing pages, and audience targeting strategies.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities through competitor analysis, platform updates, and emerging trends in digital marketing.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with platform representatives, affiliate networks, and external agencies.
- Drive strategic recommendations and performance insights to executive leadership, ensuring acquisition strategies are aligned with overall business goals.
- Lead A/B and multivariate testing initiatives to optimize campaign elements and user acquisition funnels.
- Support cross-functional initiatives, including new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotions, with acquisition strategies.
Key Qualifications & SkillsRequired
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in digital marketing with a strong focus on performance and customer acquisition
- Deep expertise in paid media channels (paid search, social, influencers, affiliates, display)
- Proven ability to lead acquisition strategy and manage campaign execution in a high-growth, ecommerce environment
- Strong analytical skills with experience in platforms like Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and attribution tools
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with creative, product, and analytics teams
Preferred
- MBA or relevant advanced degree
- Experience working in regulated industries or wellness/CPG sectors
- Familiarity with DTC ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Klaviyo, etc.)
- Knowledge of customer lifecycle marketing and CLTV optimization
