Now we’re looking for a Brand & Communications Lead to help shape how the world sees MAKE.

About the Role

You’ll own how MAKE shows up in the world — across brand voice, narrative, communications, PR, and social storytelling. This is a strategic and creative role that blends positioning, community building, and storytelling with tactical execution.

Your job is to make sure creators not only understand what MAKE does — but feel inspired by what we stand for. You’ll define our brand tone, craft high-impact narratives, drive media awareness, and build organic momentum through content and conversation.

You’ll work closely with the leadership team, Product Marketing, Growth, and report directly to the CMO to bring our mission to life — and build MAKE into the most trusted financial brand in the creator economy.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own MAKE’s brand voice and messaging across all touch points
  • Build and execute a comms strategy that includes PR, thought leadership, partnerships, and social storytelling
  • Develop narratives that position MAKE as the category leader in creator finance
  • Lead a growing team of social media managers, marketing designers, and community managers
  • Work with press, publications, and creators to generate buzz and earned media
  • Collaborate with Design and Content to produce on-brand assets and campaigns
  • Support product launches and GTM campaigns with compelling brand angles and messaging
  • Monitor cultural and creator trends to keep MAKE relevant and resonant
  • Build community and momentum through owned channels (Instagram, Twitter, blog, etc.)

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years experience in brand, communications, PR, or content strategy — ideally in fintech, creator economy, or fast-growing startups
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing creative or marketing teams
  • Excellent written communication and storytelling abilities
  • Strategic thinker with sharp editorial judgment and an eye for cultural relevance
  • Experience managing media relations, speaking opportunities, and comms plans
  • Ability to shape brand voice and build a consistent tone across teams and channels
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced, remote environment
  • Comfortable leading and executing big ideas end to end
  • Experience working with creators and influencers.
