  • Overview of the Social Media Manager RoleLocation: Remote (Must be available for client communications during core business hours)
  • Time Commitment: Part-Time (Opportunity to grow into full time)
  • Compensation: $25-28 hourly, based on experience
  • Status: Non-exempt (W2 employee)
  • Benefits: (Part Time) Unlimited Unpaid Time Off, Paid Sick Leave in Accordance with CA Law

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation & Strategy: Develop and execute strategic social media plans for clients, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Create compelling, original copy—no over-reliance on AI tools—tailored to each client’s brand voice.
  • Oversee visual content creation in collaboration with designers, photographers, and videographers.
  • Plan and maintain content calendars across multiple clients and industries.
  • Build and manage influencer relationships, negotiating partnerships and tracking performance.
  • Client Communication & Responsiveness: Be the go-to contact for social media deliverables, ensuring quick and professional client interactions.
  • Engage with client communities, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in real time.
  • Align content with broader marketing strategies, working cross-functionally with other teams.
  • Deliver on-time, high-quality work while balancing multiple projects seamlessly.
  • Performance Tracking & Optimization: Analyze social media KPIs and turn data into actionable insights.
  • Provide regular performance reports to clients with successes, recommendations, and improvements.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and platform changes, adapting strategies accordingly.
  • Optimize paid and organic content for maximum engagement and ROI.

Key Qualifications

✔ 3+ years of social media management experience (agency or in-house).

✔ Industry experience in restaurant/hotel marketing is a HIGHLY preferred!

✔ Strong copywriting skills—creative, engaging, and strategic (without AI dependency - though we do allow AI 🤖).

✔ Proficiency in Canva (+ Adobe Suite is an added bonus).

✔ Experience using Asana or similar project management tools.

✔ Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.

✔ Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Loomly, Sprout Social, Hootsuite).

✔ Ability to execute quickly and efficiently—without sacrificing quality (our clients love us for many reasons, but timeliness may be top of list!)

✔ Knowledge of paid social strategies, including post boosting and ad campaigns.
