Director of Demand Generation - SaaSSalary: Total package of £190,000 made up of basic and a 20% bonusLocation: UK-based (remote with some travel to London)

Kindred Recruitment is seeking an experienced and highly driven Director of Demand Generation to join a fast-growing, agile SaaS scale-up with huge potential for global growth. This is a pivotal senior role for someone who wants to build, shape and scale a best-in-class demand generation function while remaining close to execution and outcomes. The company sits at the intersection of allowing enterprise businesses to truly benefit from AI adoption.

This opportunity will suit a demand leader who has experience in high-growth SaaS or scale-up environments, motivated by the challenge of building something from the ground up. You will have the mandate to design the global demand strategy, implement the right technology and processes, and lead a high-performing team — all while directly impacting pipeline and revenue.

The Role

As Director of Demand Generation, you will own the global demand generation strategy, ensuring it is tightly aligned to pipeline creation and revenue goals. Reporting into the CMO, you will work cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing and Revenue leadership to drive growth across complex and often enterprise-level buying journeys.

You will inherit an existing team of five marketers and will be responsible for setting the structure, direction and culture of the function. While this role has a strong strategic remit, it is firmly hands-on — ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, testing ideas and delivering measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the global demand generation strategy, aligned to pipeline, revenue and growth targets.
  • Design and deliver integrated, multi-channel campaigns across digital, ABM, paid media, SEO/SEM, webinars, content syndication and events.
  • Lead enterprise-level ABM programmes in close collaboration with Sales, targeting complex accounts and long sales cycles.
  • Build and continuously optimise a scalable, full-funnel marketing engine, with clear visibility of performance from first touch through to revenue.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to develop compelling C-level enterprise messaging, thought leadership and value propositions.
  • Drive improvement across lead scoring, nurture journeys and automation, leveraging platforms such as Marketo and Salesforce.
  • Own marketing operations and martech strategy, implementing and optimising automation software, AI tools and analytics platforms.
  • Manage budget allocation, external agencies and vendors, ensuring clear ROI measurement and performance tracking.
  • Report regularly on KPIs including pipeline contribution, campaign performance, funnel conversion and marketing- and SDR-sourced revenue.
  • Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing demand generation team, balancing coaching with clear accountability.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 10+ years’ experience in B2B SaaS demand generation, ideally within enterprise or complex sales environments.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable pipeline and revenue growth.
  • Deep expertise across integrated marketing, ABM, paid media and lifecycle marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot or Eloqua) and CRM tools such as Salesforce.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise buyer journeys, including CIO, COO and transformation-focused stakeholders.
  • Highly data-driven, with strong analytical rigour and confidence using in-depth reporting to inform decisions.
  • Experienced people leader, capable of developing teams and scaling capability over time.
  • Collaborative and commercially minded, comfortable working within matrixed organisations.
