Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Local Digital Marketing Manager to lead and execute marketing strategies for our small business clients. This role is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing local search marketing campaigns, including SEO and Google Ads, to drive measurable growth, lead generation, and online visibility for local businesses across various industries.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing end-to-end local marketing programs. They must be comfortable building and executing SEO strategies, managing paid search campaigns, conducting keyword research, and creating content strategies tailored for local markets.
ResponsibilitiesLocal SEO Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement comprehensive local SEO strategies for small business clients.
- Optimize Google Business Profiles, local citations, and directory listings.
- Perform local keyword research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Manage on-page SEO including meta tags, content optimization, internal linking, and schema markup.
- Conduct technical SEO audits and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
- Monitor rankings, traffic, and conversions to continually improve performance.
Paid Search & Google Ads Management
- Plan, build, launch, and optimize Google Ads campaigns focused on local lead generation.
- Manage campaign budgets, bidding strategies, keyword targeting, and ad copy testing.
- Implement conversion tracking, call tracking, and performance reporting.
- Analyze campaign data to identify optimization opportunities and ROI improvements.
Content Strategy & Planning
- Create localized content strategies aligned with keyword research and client goals.
- Develop content calendars and collaborate with writers or content creators.
- Ensure all content is optimized for search visibility and local engagement.
- Identify opportunities for blog posts, landing pages, and service-based content expansion.
Tools & Platform Management
- Utilize SEO and analytics tools including: SEMrush - SE Rankings - BrightLocal - Google Analytics - Google Search Console - Google Ads Platform - Google Tag Manager
- Generate regular performance reports and provide actionable insights to stakeholders and clients.
Client & Program Management
- Serve as a strategic partner for clients, explaining marketing strategies and performance results.
- Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously while maintaining quality and deadlines.
- Stay up to date on SEO, paid search, and local marketing best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in SEO, local SEO, and Google Ads management.
- Proven track record of improving rankings, traffic, and lead generation for local businesses.
- Strong understanding of keyword research, content strategy, and search intent.
- Hands-on experience with SEMrush, SE Rankings, BrightLocal, and Google Ads.
- Experience managing Google Business Profiles and local citation building.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and project management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and campaigns simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with small business or multi-location clients.
- Google Ads certification.
- Familiarity with website CMS platforms such as WordPress.
- Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Experience with call tracking and CRM integrations.
