The Opportunity 

As Country Manager, you will spearhead market entry and expansion, working closely with existing distribution partners and also identifying new relationships. You’ll be responsible for building sales across multiples, discounters, cash & carry, pharmacies and ecommerce. With the backing of an international manufacturing base, yet the entrepreneurial freedom of a new market launch, this role offers the best of both worlds: autonomy, impact, and global support. 

Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Development & Networking 

  • Identify, approach, and secure listings with leading supermarket, pharmacy, and retail chains. 
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key buyers and decision-makers. 
  • Act as the brand’s ambassador in the region, representing its values and unlocking new business opportunities. 

Account Management & Commercial Strategy 

  • Set and monitor sales targets, forecasts, and account-level strategies. 
  • Develop and present compelling business cases for range expansion and distribution growth. 
  • Track competitor activity and market trends to sharpen strategy and secure competitive advantage. 
  • Partner with global sales and marketing teams to ensure seamless product launches and tailored promotional activity. 

Execution & Growth 

  • Oversee the implementation of promotional calendars and bespoke marketing support for key accounts. 
  • Ensure strong collaboration between the distributor, local retail partners, and internal international functions. 
  • Monitor performance through data analysis, industry insights, and customer feedback to refine strategy.

About You 

We are seeking a commercially driven leader with a proven track record in FMCG sales (oral hygiene, personal care, or other branded non-food/food categories). You should bring: 

  • In-depth understanding of retail, pharmacy and wholesale landscapes in Australia and/or New Zealand
  • Experience achieving national listings and driving growth in branded FMCG. 
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with senior buyers. 
  • Entrepreneurial drive to establish and scale a brand in a new market. 
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to act as the bridge between global teams, distributors, and customers.
