Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an Meta Advertising Specialist. The Advertising Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing marketing campaigns, conducting data analysis, and optimizing advertising strategies. Day-to-day tasks include creating and managing advertisements, analyzing campaign performance, collaborating with team members, and supporting sales efforts. The role requires a strong understanding of marketing principles and excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
- MUST HAVE 5+ YEARS HANDS ON TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE WITH META ADS
- MUST BE AN EXPERT IN ADVANCED CONVERSION TRACKING AND RETARGETING CROSS PLATFORM
- Strong Analytical and Data Analysis skills
- Excellent Communication and Collaboration skills
- Experience in Marketing and Sales
- Ability to develop and optimize advertising strategies
- (Preferred) Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
- (Preferred) Experience with digital advertising platforms Google, Bing, YouTube
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Meta Platform Mastery
- Deep working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager (not just boosting posts)
- Strong understanding of campaign structure: objectives, audiences, placements, budgets, schedules
- Ability to build and manage:
- Prospecting + retargeting funnels
- Lead gen vs conversion campaigns (and when to use each)
- Advantage+ options (where appropriate) vs manual controls
Targeting and Audience Strategy
- Audience building: custom audiences, lookalikes, retargeting segments
- Competence with broad vs stacked targeting strategies and when each wins
- Exclusion logic + funnel hygiene (exclude leads/customers, prevent overlap)
Creative Testing and Ad Iteration
- Ability to direct and/or produce a testing plan for:
- Hooks, angles, offers, formats (UGC, reels, static, carousels)
- Creative fatigue management and refresh cadence
- Strong understanding of direct response creative (thumb-stopping + conversion-focused
Copywriting Fundamentals
- Writes clear, benefit-driven primary text + headlines
- Can tailor messaging for different funnel stages (cold, warm, hot)
- Can follow compliance-safe language (no sketchy claims, especially in sensitive niches)
Tracking, attribution and data integrity
- Setup and troubleshooting for:
- Meta Pixel
- Conversions API (CAPI) (basic implementation knowledge at minimum)
- Event setup, deduplication, domain verification, AEM priorities
- Comfort with UTMs, click IDs, and identifying tracking breaks
Analytics and Optimization
- Can interpret performance beyond vanity metrics:
- CPA/CPL, CVR, CPM, CTR (link), CPC, frequency, quality ranking signals
- Able to diagnose issues logically:
- creative vs audience vs offer vs landing page vs tracking
- Comfortable optimizing based on data (not vibes)
Reporting and Communication
- Produces clean weekly reporting with:
- What happened
- Why it happened
- What’s being changed next
- Proactive communication + clear expectation setting
Operational competence
- Organized workflow for naming conventions, documentation, and testing logs
- Budget pacing and scaling control (increase/decrease with intent)
- Reliable QA checklist before launch (URL, pixel events, form, placements, comments moderation plan)
Nice to have skills - Strong Differentiators
- Experience with lead quality systems (CRM integrations, offline conversions, lead scoring)
- Landing page CRO basics (above-the-fold, form friction, trust elements)
- GA4 / GTM familiarity (at least enough to collaborate with tracking specialists)
- Experience running ads in regulated/sensitive categories (health, finance, housing, etc.)
- Creative tools proficiency (Adobe Suite, Figma, Video Editors)
- Comment/DM conversion workflows (inbox scripts, routing, automation)
- Multi-location or franchise campaign structures
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, implement, and manage high-performing advertising strategies across Meta Ads.
- Monitor KPIs, analyze performance data, and make optimization recommendations.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand each accounts’ business goals and translate them into measurable ad strategies.
- Conduct A/B testing, audience targeting, and creative testing to maximize ROI.
- Stay up-to-date with platform updates, new features, and emerging trends in digital advertising.
- Provide detailed reports and actionable insights to clients on campaign performance.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience managing Meta Ads campaigns.
- Expert level understanding – Analytics, Meta tracking, audience building, retargeting, attribution, conversions api, UTM parameters.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing funnels
- Ability to analyze data, spot patterns, and make strategic decisions quickly.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly to clients.
- Experience with lead generation campaigns (Must have)
- Certification in Meta Blueprint preferred (but not required).
