Hello — I’m Sergiy, leading the HealthTech business unit at Halo Lab, a design-led product development сompany trusted by over 500 startups and established brands like Nokia, Zoom, and Opera.

I am looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to help us grow Halo Lab’s presence in the HealthTech ecosystem. Your focus will be on account-based outreach and relationship building — not volume-based sales. The second focus would be the pharma/life sciences vertical.

You’ll identify and engage with strategic HealthTech accounts — e.g. Boston Children’s Hospital or Charite, explore partnership opportunities (e.g., accelerators, VCs, platforms), and work closely with me to move targeted opportunities forward.

This is not a role for mass outreach or quick wins. It’s for someone who enjoys precision, depth, and results that come from relevance that is typical for the ABM approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and prioritize high-fit HealthTech scaleups and innovation teams in the US, UK, and EU, especially events participants or other high-signal environments.
  • Plan and execute account-based outreach to founders, product leaders, and marketing heads — focused, relevant, and value-driven (white papers, webinars, etc.)
  • Initiate and nurture relationships with HealthTech accelerators, innovation hubs, VCs, and ecosystem partners.
  • Support warm intros, partner-generated leads, and opportunities from healthtech events like HLTH, HIMSS, and DMEA.
  • Collaborate with the internal team on proposal prep, intro decks, and tailored case study materials.
  • Own lead tracking and handoffs, ensuring clarity and coordination with colleagues.
  • Contribute insight on market trends, buyer intent signals, and ecosystem movements.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years in business development, partnerships, or sales (ideally in a design agency or software development company).
  • Strong understanding of or deep interest in HealthTech.
  • Experience with account-based approaches — not reliant on templates.
  • Confident communicator in English (C1+), capable of engaging senior product or innovation stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Notion, and ideally Ampelmarket.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to move from research to action without needing hand-holding.

Bonus Points For

  • Existing relationships in HealthTech networks, accelerators, or VC portfolios.
  • Experience working on partnerships, co-marketing, or B2B ecosystem development.
  • Familiarity with the design/dev agency model (especially web, mobile, UX, and branding work).
  • C1+ in German or in other important Western languages is nice to have.
