Digital Marketing Coordinator

The Business Lab · Remote · Part-time contract · 15–20 hrs/week

About The Business Lab

We build and launch complete marketing campaigns for small business owners — landing pages, ad campaigns, and email sequences — delivered fast and managed on their behalf. Our clients are entrepreneurs, makers, coaches, and e-commerce founders who have a great product and need a real marketing presence behind it. We handle everything from setup to go-live so they can focus on running their business.

We're a small, focused team growing quickly. Everyone here does real work that ships to real clients.

The Role

We're looking for a Digital Marketing Coordinator to join us on a part-time contract basis.

You'll be the person who ensures every client campaign is accurate, on-brand, and ready to perform before it reaches them. You'll review completed campaigns against a defined quality checklist, manage client communication from onboarding through to launch, and handle day-to-day client support.

This is a coordination and quality role. You won't be building campaigns from scratch — our production process handles that. Your job is to review what's been produced, catch what needs fixing, communicate clearly with clients, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks between production and go-live.

If you have a strong eye for marketing copy and ad visuals, good instincts about what makes a landing page or ad actually work, and the discipline to follow a process precisely — this role was built for you.

What You'll Do

  • Review completed client campaigns — landing pages, ad copy, and email sequences — against a defined quality checklist before delivery
  • Identify copy that is generic, off-message, or misaligned with the client's offer and flag it for correction
  • Manage client onboarding: follow up on intake forms, coordinate asset collection (images, video), and keep delivery on schedule
  • Handle all client communication via email — onboarding, delivery, revision management, and general support queries
  • Process client revision requests: collect consolidated feedback, coordinate updates, review the corrected output, and confirm it's ready to re-deliver
  • Assist clients with platform setup — walking them through adding us as a user on their ad account, email platform, and analytics tools using our step-by-step guides
  • Maintain the client tracker: status, outstanding items, revision rounds used, and delivery dates
  • Escalate anything outside your scope — technical issues, billing questions, or unusual requests — promptly and clearly

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • A genuine eye for marketing copy — you can tell the difference between a headline that works and one that says nothing
  • Strong written communication skills — clear, direct, and professional
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple active clients simultaneously without dropping anything
  • Comfortable following a detailed checklist and process precisely, every time
  • Reliable and responsive — client emails are answered within one business day

Nice to have

  • Experience in a marketing, content, or client-facing coordination role
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, or similar)
  • Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager or Google Ads (not required — we provide guides)
  • Experience reviewing or editing marketing copy, landing pages, or ad creative

Not required

  • Web development or coding experience
  • Graphic design skills
  • Formal qualifications in marketing

What Good Looks Like

  • Every campaign you approve could go live on your own business without embarrassment
  • Clients receive a response to any email within one business day
  • No campaign is delivered with errors, placeholder text, or copy that contradicts what the client told us
  • You flag problems before the client does

What We Offer

  • Fully remote — work from anywhere
  • Flexible hours within a part-time schedule (~15–20 hrs/week)
  • Structured onboarding and full training on our process, tools, and quality standards
  • A defined checklist and email templates so you're never guessing what to do
  • Clear escalation paths — you'll never be left handling something you shouldn't be handling alone
  • Room to grow as the team grows
