Role Description
This is a remote, contract role for a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist. The SEO Specialist will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and improving clients' search engine rankings to drive organic traffic. Daily tasks include conducting keyword research, optimizing website content, analyzing performance metrics, and implementing on-page and off-page SEO strategies. Additional responsibilities include staying updated on search engine algorithms, using analytic tools to monitor campaign effectiveness, and collaborating with team members for content and campaign planning.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in on-page and off-page SEO techniques, including keyword research, link building, and metadata optimization
- Experience using web analytics and SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, website architecture, and technical SEO best practices
- Content optimization skills, including knowledge of keyword placement, content creation, and editing for SEO purposes
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and web development tools is a plus
- Keyword research for both SEO and PPC
- Writing ad copy aligned with SEO messaging
- Monitoring ad performance and adjusting bids or targeting
- Using Google Ads data to refine SEO content and vice versa
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret data for actionable insights to drive performance
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
