JOB TITLE: Social Media ManagerJOB DESCRIPTION:
We’re seeking a forward-thinking Social Media Manager to own and evolve the brand’s social presence across Instagram and TikTok, with opportunities to expand into platforms such as Facebook and YouTube. This role will focus on setting strategy, guiding creative direction, and ensuring our brand consistently shows up in ways that drive engagement, loyalty, and growth. The ideal candidate is not only fluent in social-first culture but also skilled at translating brand objectives into compelling digital storytelling that resonates with target audiences.
This person will partner closely with external and fractional teams to oversee content execution, and shape the long-term social media vision. They will serve as the architect of our brand voice online — steering the conversation rather than being the face of it.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
- Define and drive a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with brand, marketing, and business growth goals.
- Identify and prioritize platforms, content formats, and initiatives that maximize brand visibility and audience impact.
- Act as a thought leader, staying ahead of emerging social trends and advising leadership on opportunities and risks.
Content & Creative Direction
- Lead the creative vision for social content across platforms, ensuring alignment with brand identity, voice, and campaigns.
- Provide guidance and direction to internal teams, freelancers, or agency partners responsible for producing day-to-day content.
- Establish standards and best practices for visual storytelling, copywriting, and overall content quality.
Community & Brand Voice
- Shape and oversee the tone, style, and consistency of the brand voice across all social interactions.
- Develop frameworks for engagement, empowering the team to respond authentically and in line with brand values.
- Leverage community insights to inform strategy and strengthen audience relationships.
Analytics & Optimization
- Own social performance measurement, setting KPIs, tracking results, and communicating insights to leadership.
- Translate data into actionable strategies to continually optimize reach, engagement, and conversion.
- Monitor competitor activity and industry benchmarks to maintain a competitive edge.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with marketing, PR, and creative teams to integrate social strategy into larger brand initiatives.
- Support campaign development with social-first thinking, ensuring brand storytelling extends seamlessly across channels.
- Manage workflows for asset development, approvals, and scheduling in partnership with key stakeholders.
Key Qualifications
- 4–6 years of progressive experience in social media management, with a proven track record leading strategy for lifestyle, fashion, or consumer brands.
- Demonstrated success in building brand presence and engagement across Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
- Strong ability to guide creative teams and oversee production rather than serve as on-camera talent.
- Excellent storytelling, copywriting, and brand voice development skills.
- Data-driven mindset with experience leveraging analytics to shape content and strategy.
- Highly organized, with the ability to balance vision-setting with operational oversight.
- Strong collaborator, comfortable influencing across teams and presenting strategy to leadership.
Bonus Points
- Experience working with influencer partnerships or social-first campaigns.
- Familiarity with YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and other emerging social platforms.
- Proficiency with tools like Later, Sprout, or native platform analytics.
- Background in fashion, lifestyle, or consumer brand marketing.
