About FilmTailor AI
FilmTailor is building the first AI-powered production assistant for the film and TV industry. Our proprietary system provides intelligent, automated support to filmmakers and production teams. We are building a product rooted in real industry knowledge and we are reshaping how creative work is done.
We are currently pre-funding. The product launched on 31 July 2025, early traction is strong, and we are currently actively raising our investment round. Who is using our platform right now? That's the best part... we have 120+ studios signed up, including trials with ITV, Warner Brothers and Netflix.
The Role
We are looking for a high-impact Marketing Manager to own FilmTailor’s go-to-market from strategy to hands-on delivery. You will define positioning, sharpen our narrative for filmmakers and production teams, and translate that into measurable growth across the funnel. You will set clear targets, prioritise the highest-leverage initiatives, and run fast, insight-led experiments that drive awareness, demand and adoption. This is a builder role with real ownership, working closely with the founders to plan launches, shape messaging, and turn early traction into sustained momentum.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the marketing strategy and quarterly plan across brand, product marketing, and demand generation
- Define positioning, messaging and value propositions for priority segments and use cases
- Plan and run campaign calendars for product launches, feature releases and partnerships
- Build and optimise the marketing funnel, from top-of-funnel awareness to activation and retention
- Lead content and editorial direction, commissioning or creating assets as needed
- Oversee social, website and email channels, ensuring consistency and performance
- Set up lightweight analytics to track KPIs, create dashboards and report insights
- Manage experiments across channels, run A/B tests, and systemise what works
- Coordinate events, talks, and targeted community activity within film and production networks
- Identify and develop partnerships that extend reach and credibility
- Manage budget, tooling and vendor relationships appropriate to an early-stage team
About You
- 3+ years in a marketing role covering strategy and execution, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment
- Demonstrable track record of shipping campaigns that moved meaningful metrics
- Strong product marketing skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear benefits
- Confident across content, lifecycle, and basic performance marketing, with an experimentation mindset
- Data-literate and comfortable setting goals, instrumenting tracking, and making decisions from insight
- Proactive, organised and happy operating in an unstructured early-stage environment
- Passionate about film, creativity or technology, ideally all three
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Confident working remotely and independently
What We Offer
This is an equity-only, volunteering position until our funding round is completed. At that point, the role will transition to a fully salaried position with the following benefits:
- Four-day work week (paid full time)
- Unlimited holidays
- Remote-first working environment
- Real equity and ownership in the company
- A key role in shaping a high-impact, creative, and mission-driven product
