VP of Marketing – Cybersecurity / Incident Response (US-Based, Remote)

Our client is a rapidly growing cybersecurity startup specializing in incident response solutions. They are looking for a VP of Marketing to own and execute the company’s go-to-market strategy, build the marketing function from the ground up, and position the business as a category leader.

This is a high-impact leadership role suited for a hands-on, strategic marketer with a deep understanding of cybersecurity—particularly incident response or network security—and a track record of success in early-stage environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and scale the full marketing function, including demand generation, content, brand, events, product marketing, and digital.
  • Lead go-to-market strategy in close partnership with sales and product leadership.
  • Define and drive positioning and messaging that clearly communicates the company’s value proposition to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop multi-channel campaigns to accelerate pipeline growth and drive awareness.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing marketing team as the business scales.
  • Analyze and report on marketing performance, using data to refine strategy and execution.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing cybersecurity solutions, with a focus on incident response or network security.
  • Demonstrated success leading GTM strategy in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Proven ability to build marketing functions from scratch, including hiring, tooling, and budget management.
  • Experience developing messaging for technical audiences (CISOs, security engineers, etc.).
  • US-based; remote role with flexible working hours
