About Crash Override

Crash Override is redefining the way modern engineering teams manage software security and reliability. Crash Override uses deep build inspection to give you complete visibility across your software development lifecycle. We automatically discover AI tool usage, measure productivity impact, and give you the controls to secure it, all without slowing developers down.

Deployed in minutes. Get a single view of AI adoption across code, builds, artifacts, and deployments. Eliminate blind spots, accelerate adoption safely, and prove business value.

Role Overview:

First marketing ops hire at an early-stage category creator. Founded by the creator of OWASP and the inventor of AES-GCM encryption.

You’re the person who turns founder-led content, events, and community activity into measurable pipeline. You build the infrastructure, run the distribution, and report on what’s working.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the marketing side of the CRM. Configure pipelines, lead scoring, lifecycle stages, and attribution. We’re currently on HubSpot but evaluating AI-native alternatives (Attio, etc.) — you may lead that migration.
  • Launch and grow a named weekly newsletter targeting platform engineers and security leads. Own subscriber acquisition, content scheduling, and engagement metrics.
  • Build event-specific landing pages, email nurture sequences, and post-event follow-up campaigns in coordination with our events manager.
  • Manage newsletter ad placements (TLDR, etc.) including copy coordination, scheduling, and performance tracking.
  • Distribute and repurpose content the founders and DevRel create — blog posts, talks, podcast appearances — across LinkedIn, Dev.to, email, and community channels.
  • Build comparison pages and SEO landing pages for competitive and category search terms.
  • Run lightweight paid experiments: retargeting, content promotion, newsletter ads. Small, smart bets — not big budgets.
  • Build dashboards connecting marketing activity to pipeline. Own weekly reporting on what’s moving the needle.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–5 years in marketing ops or growth at a B2B SaaS or developer tools company. Early-stage experience preferred.
  • Hands-on CRM experience. HubSpot is fine; experience with next-gen AI-first CRMs like Monaco, Attio, Day AI, or Folk is a strong differentiator.
  • An early adopter of AI in your daily workflow. You use tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot to draft copy, analyze data, build automations, and move faster. You don’t wait for someone to hand you an AI strategy — you’re already living it. Experience with Claude specifically is a plus.
  • Ability to ship a landing page or email without waiting for an engineer. Comfortable with basic HTML/CSS and email/landing page tooling.
  • Strong analytical instincts. You default to data before gut feel.
  • Tight, clear writing. You’ll write email copy, landing pages, and internal reports.
  • High autonomy. Small team, lots of latitude, minimal hand-holding.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with DevOps, platform engineering, or security tooling. You don’t need to be a practitioner, but you should be able to hold a conversation with one.
  • Experience with GTM automation tools: Clay, Zapier, Sponsy, or similar.
  • You’ve grown a newsletter subscriber list significantly.
