About CorralData
We're CorralData. Our AI-powered analytics platform effortlessly and securely turns all company data into actionable insights — so every employee can visualize, understand, and act — all for less cost and time than traditional data management.
We're people first and are nothing without our team. So we're hell bent on creating the best possible environment for our team to thrive. We hire the most brilliant people and ensure everyone has ample opportunity for growth. We're a startup for grown-ups and are deeply rooted in the idea that life comes first, and good work will follow.
About the Role
This is a get-stuff-done role. You'll be the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks — owning the backlog, driving triage, managing QA, and keeping our engineering team and external vendors laser-focused on the right work at the right time. You don't wait to be told what to do. You see the gap, close it, and move on to the next one.
You'll directly manage our QA function and will own the day-to-day work — not the people — of our engineering team and external design and frontend vendors. You're the person who keeps the machine running.
What You'll Own
Backlog & Ticket Management — Own the backlog end-to-end. Write clear, actionable tickets. Keep the queue healthy, prioritized, and never stale. Engineering should always know exactly what to work on next.
Triage & Prioritization — Be ruthless about what gets worked on and when. Establish and maintain a triage system that catches critical issues fast, communicates severity clearly, and keeps the team focused against limited resources.
QA Oversight — Directly manage our QA person — so you're not doing QA yourself, but you're responsible for making sure it's done right. Ensure coverage is solid, release gates are enforced, and bugs don't ship twice.
Vendor & Engineering Coordination — Manage the day-to-day work of our engineering team and external design and frontend vendors. Keep everyone unblocked, on scope, and on schedule.
Delivery Accountability — Own on-time, high-quality releases. Track progress, surface blockers early, and communicate status without being asked.
Bug & Issue Resolution — Own the full lifecycle of bugs from report to close. No dropped balls, no ambiguity about who owns what or when it'll be fixed.
What Success Looks Like
A backlog that is always clean, prioritized, and trusted by the engineering team. Bugs triaged within hours, not days, with clear owners and timelines. QA coverage that prevents regressions and gives the team confidence to ship. Vendors and engineers who are never blocked waiting on direction. Releases that go out on time with no surprises.
What You Bring to the Table
- 3+ years of product management experience at a SaaS or analytics startup
- Proven experience running a backlog and managing day-to-day engineering execution in an agile environment
- Experience owning bug triage and QA coordination with a methodical, no-nonsense approach
- Strong written communication — your tickets are clear, your updates are crisp, and your prioritization decisions are well-reasoned
- You move fast, make decisions with imperfect information, and don't need hand-holding
- You're Type A and proud of it
Nice to Have
- Experience with BI, analytics, or data platforms
- Familiarity with AI/LLM-powered products
- Technical background or comfort reading SQL
- Experience with Linear, Notion, Figma, or similar tools
As a CorralData Employee You:
- Are a driver, not a passenger, and are looking to make a real impact leveraging emerging technology
- Thrive in a fast-paced, highly-iterative, and collaborative workplace where you can take ownership of your work and contribute to the success of others
- Are adept at absorbing a brief, asking thoughtful questions, and initiating and executing an effective plan to achieve success
- Value feedback as a fundamental component of your growth
- Can work against tight timelines while acting thoughtfully towards both the team and the clients
- Are ambitious and take initiative
- Always seek out ways to optimize processes, work smarter, and increase efficiencies
Compensation
Compensation is determined by years of experience and proven previous success in this role, level of expertise in the skills needed to perform this role at the highest level, and cost of living in your area of residency.
Salary Range: $120,000–$140,000
