Role Summary

The Brand Principal is the owner of the client relationship and the business health of the pod.

It serves as the strategic partner for a high-value, enterprise-level client. This role combines executive client leadership, long-term brand stewardship, and day-to-day operational oversight.


This is a role that balances:

  • Strategic Brand Vision
  • Revenue and margin accountability
  • Senior client relationship management
  • Operational execution leadership


Core Responsibilities


Business Ownership & Revenue Growth

  • Own the full account P&L, including forecasting, revenue tracking, and margin performance
  • Contribute to and monitor financial health (burn rate, scope adherence, utilization)
  • Identify and drive organic growth opportunities within the client organization
  • Lead SOW development, pricing strategy, and scope negotiations
  • Build multi-year revenue expansion plans tied to client business goals


Accountability: Revenue growth, profitability, and long-term account stability


Executive Client Leadership

  • Serve as primary senior point of contact for high level stakeholders
  • Lead annual planning processes and strategic roadmapping
  • Drive Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and performance narratives
  • Translate client business objectives into integrated agency initiatives
  • Manage escalations and protect relationship health


Accountability: Executive trust, retention, and partnership expansion


Strategic Brand Stewardship

  • Ensure all work ladders up to a clear brand strategy and measurable business outcomes
  • Partner with Strategy to shape positioning, messaging architecture, and campaign frameworks
  • Guide annual campaign calendars and integrated go-to-market planning
  • Connect short-term campaign KPIs with long-term brand equity and revenue goals


Accountability: Brand coherence and measurable effectiveness


Campaign & Operational Execution

  • Oversee delivery of all major campaigns and initiatives
  • Ensure timelines, budgets, and resourcing plans are aligned and realistic
  • Monitor scope compliance and change management processes
  • Partner with Strategy, Creative and Production leadership to deliver work on time and on budget
  • Ensure measurement frameworks, reporting, and optimization loops are in place


Accountability: Executional excellence and operational discipline


Team Leadership & Organizational Alignment

  • Lead and mentor Directors, Managers and Producers
  • Establish clear role delineation and accountability frameworks
  • Create performance standards tied to quality, financial rigor, and client service
  • Remove cross-functional roadblocks and foster collaborative culture
  • Identify resource gaps and proactively build staffing plans


Accountability: High-performing, accountable team structure


Success Metrics

  • Revenue growth and margin attainment
  • Client retention and expansion
  • On-time / on-budget campaign delivery
  • Strategic impact on client’s business KPIs
  • Team retention and leadership bench strength


Ideal Qualifications

  • 15+ years in advertising, brand, or integrated marketing agency environments
  • Experience leading a $5M–$15M+ account (or comparable complexity)
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and P&L oversight
  • Experience leading annual planning and multi-channel campaign ecosystems
  • Executive presence with C-level stakeholders
  • Strong balance of strategic thinking and business acumen

The anticipated annual compensation range for this position is $200,000.00 - $250,000.00, in addition to our standard employee benefits package (medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401k matching, Flexible PTO, and various other benefits and perks) Consistent with applicable law, compensation is determined based on a wide range of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, job duties, and geographic location. We reserve the right to modify this pay range at any time.
