Your Next Big Opportunity | Designer - AI and Visualization

You will be part of a multidisciplinary design team helping shape the future of architecture, urban design, and creative technology. Working alongside Associate Principals and Principals, you will help pioneer how AI transforms the way we design and visualize cities, districts, buildings, and communities.

This role sits at the intersection of design, storytelling, and emerging technology — using AI-generated imagery, animation, visualization, and experimental creative workflows to push the boundaries of how ideas are explored and communicated. We are looking for someone obsessed with what’s next: someone energized by the evolving relationship between human creativity and machine intelligence.

What You’ll Be Owning

AI Visualisation & Creative Technology

• Develop AI-generated imagery, concept visualisations, animations, and cinematic storytelling content across architecture, urban design, and planning projects.
• Explore and implement emerging AI creative workflows, tools, and technologies to enhance the studio’s design process and visual output.
• Translate early-stage ideas, narratives, and strategic concepts into compelling visual experiences that communicate design intent with clarity and emotion.
• Experiment relentlessly with new workflows that blend AI, traditional design tools, motion graphics, and visual storytelling.

Design Communication & Storytelling

• Craft visually compelling presentations, diagrams, videos, and digital content that elevate project narratives and communicate complex ideas simply.
• Collaborate closely with designers, planners, architects, and leadership teams to shape how projects are visually expressed across all phases of work.
• Support pursuits, competitions, thought leadership, and marketing initiatives through innovative visual communication strategies.

Innovation & Studio Advancement

• Stay at the forefront of AI, visualization, and creative technology trends — continually identifying opportunities to improve workflows and outputs.
• Help establish and evolve studio-wide standards, best practices, and experimentation frameworks for AI-assisted design and visualization.
• Contribute to a culture of curiosity, innovation, and creative exploration across the practice.

Communication / Project Management

• Engage in clear, proactive communication with stakeholders and team members, incorporating timely feedback into your work.
• Self-manage tasks and creative workflows from ideation to resolution, ensuring efficient execution and alignment with project standards.

Self Leadership & Professional Development

• Continuously expand your technical expertise and creative capabilities through active experimentation and research.
• Share insights, discoveries, and emerging workflows with the broader team to help elevate the studio’s collective capability.

Is This You?

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, urban design, graphic design, visualization, digital media, creative technology, or related field
• 1-5 years of professional experience in visualization, design technology, architecture, urban design, or creative production (preferred)

Essential Skills

• Unrelenting eagerness to learn, test, and innovate
• Deep curiosity about the future of AI and creative technology
• Strong design eye, visual storytelling instincts, and compositional skills
• Obsessed with solving real-world problems through creativity and technology
• Experience generating AI imagery, animation, or experimental creative workflows
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite required
• Experience with Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Runway, Sora, Kling, ComfyUI, or similar AI platforms preferred
• Experience with motion graphics, video editing, or animation workflows preferred
• Understanding of architecture, urban design, placemaking, or spatial storytelling preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly with different levels of staff and stakeholders
• High level attention to detail and organizational skills

Location Overview

Candidates will be considered for any of our locations in Australia. Candidate must reside in Australia and have authorization for employment in Australia.
