Part-time AI SEO consultant

We're looking for an experienced SEO consultant (~20 hrs/week) to lead and execute Cerbos’ SEO strategy.

You’ll own our SEO roadmap (content, technical, on-page, off-page) and work cross-functionally to grow high-intent traffic and conversions. Cerbos is an open-source authorization solution trusted by SaaS teams building secure, scalable access controls. Our audience includes software architects, technical decision-makers, and security professionals.

This role has the potential to become full-time in 6–8 months, based on impact and business needs.

What will you do?

• Develop and execute a focused SEO strategy aligned with product and GTM goals
• Optimize technical SEO and improve site health in collaboration with dev/web teams
• Create and refine content with our writers and subject matter experts
• Lead high-quality, developer-friendly link-building efforts
• Explore and implement strategies for AI-driven search visibility (e.g. optimizing for tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI snippets)
• Report on performance and continuously improve based on data
• Generate ideas on how we can do better :)

You should have:

• Portfolio to showcase your expertise
• 5+ years of SEO experience in B2B SaaS, ideally in DevTools, cybersecurity, or IAM
• Proven success working with developer-first products and understanding how to engage technical audiences
• Strong expertise in on-page, off-page, and technical SEO
• Experience with AI-era SEO: understanding how content is surfaced in LLM-based search tools and emerging discovery channels
• Bonus: Familiarity with developer communities and platforms like Reddit, Dev.to, Hacker News
