Senior Manager, Performance Marketing
Build the performance engine. Turn marketing data into decisions. Help more families discover C2.
Reports to: Vice President, Marketing
Department: Marketing
Level: Senior Manager – Individual Contributor
Work Arrangement: Fully remote - Travel as needed
Why this seat exists
C2 is bringing more ownership of performance marketing, analytics, and experimentation into the organization. This role provides the hands-on execution and analytical depth needed to make that model work.
The Senior Manager will operate paid acquisition programs directly, connect campaign performance to qualified inquiries and enrollments, and turn findings into practical optimization decisions. The role works closely with the Vice President, Marketing, who leads broader growth strategy and investment priorities.
This is not a position built around managing an external paid media agency. It is for someone who wants to be close to the platforms, data, tests, and business outcomes—and who can use automation to improve the speed and quality of execution.
What you would own
Paid acquisition execution
- Run paid search, paid social, display, video, and other relevant performance campaigns; own campaign structure, audiences, bids, pacing, creative rotations, and QA.
- Identify efficiency and scale opportunities; recommend investment shifts based on lead quality, enrollment contribution, and market demand.
- Maintain accurate conversion tracking, account documentation, brand safety, and platform compliance.
Growth intelligence
- Build dependable reporting across channels, markets, centers, and funnel stages.
- Diagnose anomalies and explain drivers of performance—not simply report results.
- Develop forecasts, benchmarks, and clear recommendations for marketing leadership.
Testing and conversion
- Build a structured test pipeline for creative, audiences, landing pages, and conversion experiences.
- Define hypotheses and success criteria, analyze results, and document learnings that can be reused.
- Partner with web and content teams to implement high-impact changes.
Measurement and cross-functional execution
- Work with Lifecycle Marketing and Operations to improve the reliability of funnel events and their transfer into media and email systems.
- Partner with Web and Content Marketing to translate performance insights into stronger experiences and creative.
- Improve attribution, lead-quality feedback, and measurement consistency with internal stakeholders.
Automation and emerging capabilities
Use AI and automation to reduce repetitive reporting, monitoring, and operational work while maintaining human review of decisions and outputs. Support evaluation of new discovery and measurement opportunities as business priorities evolve.
What we are looking for
Hands-on performance media depth
Seven or more years of progressively responsible performance or growth marketing experience, with meaningful direct ownership of paid search, paid social, and sizable budgets. Experience transitioning work from an agency to an internal team is a plus.
Analytical judgment
Ability to work through complex acquisition and conversion data, identify patterns, design credible tests, and explain the business implications clearly.
Systems orientation
Fluency with advertising, analytics, and testing platforms; strong interest in automation, accurate measurement, and improving workflows.
Collaborative execution
Ability to work effectively with lifecycle, web, creative, and field stakeholders. Multi-location consumer services or education experience is preferred.
