Reports To: SEO Director

Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000/year (depending on experience)

The Role

We're looking for an experienced SEO Specialist who can both develop and execute SEO strategies for a growing portfolio of home builder clients. You’ll take ownership of monthly SEO delivery — from audits and recommendations to content planning and performance tracking.

This is a mid-level role for someone who understands what works in modern SEO and can drive measurable results without constant oversight. You’ll work directly with clients (alongside our account managers), support and guide junior team members or partners, and collaborate with outsourced content and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed SEO audits and identify priority improvements for clients
• Create and update SEO strategies and roadmaps aligned with client goals
• Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis for content planning
• Guide content teams with brief creation, optimization recommendations, and review
• Support or manage Google Business Profile (GBP) optimization
• Collaborate with partners/vendors
• Package and present monthly reports with insights and next steps
• Track performance using Google Analytics, GSC, Semrush, and other tools
• Stay current on SEO best practices, AI/automation tools, and algorithm updates

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience (agency or in-house)
• Strong grasp of SEO fundamentals: on-page, technical, content, local
• Experience with Semrush, ScreamingFrog, Google Analytics, and GSC
• Ability to write clear, actionable SEO briefs and recommendations
• Comfort working directly with clients and explaining SEO in plain language
• Excellent task management, prioritization, and communication skills

Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Haves)

• Familiarity with home builder or local service industry SEO
• Experience with AI-assisted SEO workflows
• Schema markup, Core Web Vitals, or GA4 configuration experience
• Understanding of GEO (generative engine optimization) and AI search
