About the Role
Bellrae Marketing is looking for an experienced, well-rounded marketer who can step inside a client’s business, understand what they’re trying to accomplish, and take ownership of making their marketing work.
This is not a traditional account management role, and it is not a strategy-only role.
Our Integrated Marketing Managers are working marketers and trusted client leaders. You’ll own a portfolio of client relationships, understand their businesses deeply, lead their marketing direction, stay close to the work being produced, and bring together specialists across social media, SEO, email, paid media, web and content.
You’ll be the person a client trusts to answer: What are we doing? Why are we doing it? Is it working? And what should we do next?
You don’t need to be the deepest technical expert in every marketing channel. You do need to understand integrated marketing well enough to connect the dots, ask the right questions, evaluate the work, and make strong recommendations.
About Bellrae Marketing
Bellrae Marketing is a growing integrated marketing agency that partners with ambitious businesses that are ready for more strategic, connected marketing.
We are increasingly focused on serving home, design and other high-consideration service brands, acting as an extension of our clients' internal teams rather than a collection of disconnected marketing vendors. Our work brings together strategy, SEO, social media, content, email, websites and paid media around one goal: helping our clients build stronger brands, generate qualified opportunities and grow their businesses.
We are a small, experienced team that cares deeply about the quality of our work, the results we produce and the relationships we build with our clients. We value ownership, high standards, proactive thinking and people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and solve problems.
Bellrae is entering an exciting stage of growth, and this role will be an important part of where we're going next.
Your Responsibilities
Client Leadership
You’ll serve as the primary marketing contact for a portfolio of Bellrae clients and operate as an extension of their internal team.
You’ll:
- Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business, customers, revenue goals, sales process, pipeline, and growth priorities.
- Build strong relationships with founders and leadership teams.
- Lead recurring client meetings and confidently present performance, recommendations and next steps.
- Maintain proactive communication throughout the month, not simply show up for meetings.
- Identify opportunities and problems before the client has to point them out.
- Translate business priorities into clear marketing priorities for the Bellrae team.
- Own the overall quality and effectiveness of the marketing being delivered.
Integrated Marketing Management
You’ll oversee the full marketing ecosystem for your clients and ensure the individual channels work together rather than operating in silos.
Depending on the account, that may include:
- SEO and organic search
- Social media and content
- Email marketing
- Website and conversion optimization
- Paid media
- Lead generation and nurture
- Campaigns and launches
You’ll work directly with Bellrae’s channel specialists, giving them the business context they need while relying on their expertise to determine the best channel-specific approach.
Marketing Execution
This role stays close to the work.
You may:
- Develop editorial calendars based on business priorities and SEO research.
- Create blog topics, outlines and content direction.
- Write or edit marketing content when appropriate.
- Develop email campaign and newsletter direction.
- Write, edit or review email marketing.
- Review monthly social media topics and weekly content.
- Monitor keyword rankings and organic search performance.
- Develop messaging and copy direction for new website/service pages.
- Review marketing deliverables before they reach the client.
- Make recommendations to improve conversion pathways, messaging and customer experience.
We aren’t looking for someone who believes seniority means handing every task to someone else. You should enjoy doing marketing as much as thinking about marketing.
Performance & Growth
You’ll be responsible for understanding whether the marketing is actually contributing to the client’s business.
You’ll:
- Review performance across active channels.
- Work with specialists to understand what is happening within their areas of expertise.
- Connect performance data to lead quality, sales priorities, pipeline and business goals.
- Identify what is working, what isn’t and what needs to change.
- Develop monthly priorities based on those insights.
- Communicate performance in a way that is clear and meaningful to business owners - not simply repeat metrics from a report.
- Lead quarterly and annual marketing planning for appropriate accounts.
Who We’re Looking For
You’ve spent enough time in marketing that you can look at a business and naturally start connecting dots.
You are equally comfortable discussing a client’s growth goals with a founder, reviewing a piece of social content, looking at keyword movement, editing an email and figuring out why leads aren’t converting.
You:
- Have broad experience across several digital marketing disciplines.
- Understand SEO, social media, email marketing, websites, content and paid media well enough to lead integrated marketing decisions.
- Have excellent marketing judgment.
- Can interpret performance data and turn it into clear recommendations.
- Are a confident communicator and presenter.
- Can lead conversations with founders and senior executives.
- Take ownership without needing someone above you to continually tell you what to do next.
- Are proactive, curious and naturally look beyond the task in front of you.
- Can move between big-picture thinking and hands-on execution.
- Know when to do something yourself and when specialist expertise is needed.
- Care deeply about the quality of the work that leaves your hands.
- Are organized enough to manage multiple client priorities without losing sight of the bigger picture.
Agency experience is strongly preferred. Experience with home, design, construction, remodeling, real estate, hospitality or other high-consideration service businesses is a plus.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional marketing experience, with agency experience strongly preferred.
- Experience owning multiple client relationships and serving as a primary marketing contact.
- Experience independently leading client meetings and presenting to founders, executives or senior leadership teams.
- Broad working knowledge across SEO, social media, email marketing, content, websites and paid media.
- Strong working knowledge of SEO, including keyword strategy, on-page optimization, content strategy and organic search performance.
- Strong understanding of organic social media strategy and current platform best practices.
- Experience developing, reviewing and optimizing email campaigns, newsletters and nurture strategies.
- Experience analyzing marketing performance and translating data into clear recommendations and next steps.
- Working knowledge of website strategy, messaging, conversion pathways and lead generation.
- Strong copywriting and editing skills.
- Experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and marketing reporting platforms.
- Comfortable working in tools such as ClickUp, Slack and Canva, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms.
- Experience with home, design, construction, remodeling, real estate, hospitality or other high-consideration service businesses is a plus.
This Role Is Probably Not For You If…
You want to develop strategy and hand it to someone else to execute.
You prefer managing projects to making marketing decisions.
You need someone to tell you what to do next.
You can report marketing metrics but struggle to explain what they mean for the business.
You are highly specialized in one channel and haven’t developed broader integrated marketing judgment.
You prefer being behind the scenes and aren’t comfortable confidently leading a room.
What Success Looks Like
Clients should feel like they have an experienced marketing leader inside their business, not an outside agency they have to manage.
Bellrae’s internal team should know exactly what the client is trying to accomplish and why.
And our clients should be able to step away from routine client delivery knowing that you will identify the problem, make the call, communicate it confidently, and ensure the marketing moves forward.
