Senior Editor (UK or Ireland-based)

Astra Content is seeking an exceptional Senior Editor to lead content creation and audience engagement for a top tech company's publication focused on marketing, technology and consumer behaviour. If you have a proven track record of creating impactful articles and engaging accompanying assets (newsletters / emails, social media, etc) and driving audience growth, we'd love to hear from you.

This role is ideal for a current or former business/marketing journalist from a major publication who not only crafts compelling features but also understands how to leverage content for engagement. You'll be the voice of our client in the UK, ensuring their valuable editorial content reaches and resonates with a wider audience across diverse channels.

What You'll Do

• Crafting Thought Leadership & Case Studies: Develop compelling thought leadership articles and case studies.
• Transforming Articles into Engaging Content: Repurpose in-depth articles into compelling LinkedIn social posts, email newsletters, and other promotional formats to capture attention and encourage engagement.
• Content Promotion & Distribution: Lead content distribution across various digital channels to ensure maximum reach and impact.

About You

• 5-10 years of experience as a journalist, writer, editor at a major business or marketing publication, with a demonstrated understanding of marketing and content marketing.
• Excellent knowledge of marketing, technology, and B2B solutions.
• Strong thought leadership skills and the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
• Experience with, or willingness to learn, key marketing tools and analytics platforms.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders and agencies.
• A positive, can-do attitude, aligning with Astra Content's values of kindness, diversity, and inclusion.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with creating social posts on LinkedIn or other social channels.
• Experience with A/B testing content to optimize headlines, calls-to-action, and promotional messaging.
• Experience working across different content formats, including graphics, images, and video, for promotional purposes.

Further Information

This is a full-time contract position based in the UK or Ireland. It's primarily remote, with occasional visits to our London office. Visa sponsorship is unfortunately not available.
