e-Commerce Consultant

Our client is an established retail business, recently acquired by a PE firm. The business currently has no e-commerce presence and looks to bring in an experienced consultant to build the e-commerce strategy from the ground up.

The scope covers the full build (channel selection, platform architecture, trading model and fulfilment approach) with the expectation of hands-on delivery through implementation, not a strategy handover. You will work directly with senior leadership and the PE backer to make decisions, manage vendors, and put in place something the organisation can own and operate once the engagement concludes.

The right person has done this before in a consumer or retail context and knows how to work effectively in a business that is new to e-commerce. Comfort managing unfamiliar stakeholders and making pragmatic calls under commercial pressure matters as much as the technical knowledge. Platform experience (Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud or similar) is expected, alongside a practical understanding of what drives e-commerce performance commercially.

This will be a 1099 / Independent Contractor basis at a rate of $1,300 - $1,500 per day. While mainly remote, travel will be required.
