Job Title: Category Development Manager - Performance Products Location: United Kingdom (Home based - with occasional travel to sites such as Peterborough and Harrogate). Do you have a deep understanding of the UK dairy sector and a passion for translating insight into strategic growth? We’re looking for a Category Development Manager – Performance Products to join our Operational Marketing team at AB Dairy. This is a high-impact role where your technical expertise and market knowledge will shape the future of our performance product portfolio. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own and lead the strategic direction of our performance products category, ensuring alignment with commercial goals.
  • Use your technical understanding of ruminant nutrition and performance to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform product development and positioning.
  • Develop and implement pricing, promotion, and go-to-market strategies that drive value and margin growth.
  • Design and deliver targeted marketing campaigns that support category objectives and enhance product visibility.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, Commercial, Sales, marketing, and operations to deliver cohesive category plans.
  • Manage the product lifecycle, identifying gaps, rationalisation opportunities, and areas for innovation.
  • Monitor category performance using data, customer feedback, and commercial KPIs.
  • Be the voice of the customer and the market, influencing product roadmaps and strategic decisions.

What You’ll Bring

  • Technical expertise in ruminant nutrition or performance products, ideally within the UK dairy market.
  • Proven experience in category development, product management, or technical marketing.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance technical depth and strategic thinking.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in tools like Excel, CRM systems, and data platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical and commercial teams.
  • A proactive, insight-led approach to driving category value and customer impact.
