About The Role The Content Strategist at Directive Consulting is a vital client-facing position responsible for managing day-to-day deliverables, developing customized client strategies, and ensuring seamless communication between clients and internal teams. This role primarily handles enterprise clients, requiring a deep understanding of our service offerings and their influence across various business functions. The strategist collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, including Associate Directors and project teams, to craft holistic marketing plans that align with client goals. Internally titled Account Strategist, Content & SEO, this position demands a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a strong grasp of SEO and content marketing principles. The ultimate goal is to drive measurable results, foster client relationships, and contribute to the agency’s growth and reputation as a leader in performance marketing. Qualifications

  • Proven success in implementing SEO strategies, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using tools such as Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of managing client relationships and internal collaboration effectively
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities, with proficiency in tools like Asana
  • Genuine enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO, and content creation
  • Agency experience is mandatory
  • Experience working within B2B technology and SaaS industries
  • Ability to analyze website traffic and SEO metrics to inform strategy
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment with reliable internet and professional setup

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement customized marketing strategies aligned with client objectives and best practices
  • Utilize Customer Generation methodology to optimize client campaigns and achieve North Star Metrics (NSMs)
  • Conduct LTV:CAC modeling and analyze share of SERP to inform strategic decisions
  • Create compelling content briefs and oversee content production, ensuring quality and timely delivery
  • Set measurable goals based on data from Google Analytics, CRM, SEMRush, and Ahrefs, with approval from the Associate Director
  • Manage project timelines and tasks using Asana, collaborating with specialists and clients to meet deadlines
  • Coordinate with content writers and designers to execute content campaigns effectively
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and proactively communicating progress and challenges
  • Provide regular reporting on campaign performance, including bi-weekly updates, monthly reports, quarterly reviews, and business review presentations
  • Identify opportunities for account growth through upselling, cross-selling, and referrals
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot roadblocks, optimize strategies, and identify new opportunities for client success
