We’re hiring a Content-Led SEO Strategist to join our high-performance team at Webprofits. This isn’t a typical "content" role - it's strategy-led, research-driven and performance-focused.

Your mission?

Own the development of content strategies that support SEO as the primary channel, while also aligning with broader marketing objectives across paid, social and brand. You’ll work across multiple industries, helping shape the type of content that doesn't just rank - it drives business impact.

You’ll take content briefs from concept to completion, working with designers, consultants and copywriters to bring them to life. You’ll know when to use AI, when not to, and how to push content into new frontiers - like Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO).

What You’ll Do

  • Lead research and create content briefs that support SEO-first strategies but also connect with wider campaign goals.
  • Conduct SERP, competitor, and keyword research to build content that’s actually worth publishing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align content direction with the bigger picture.
  • Leverage AI tools (in non-generic ways) to enhance ideation, formatting and velocity.
  • Provide editorial direction and review copy against brief quality and intent.
  • Monitor content performance post-launch and help extract learnings to continuously improve.
  • Stay on the pulse of emerging SEO trends, AEO opportunities and content formats that cut through.
  • Support execution at scale by managing a high volume of content briefs across a broad portfolio.

What You Bring

  • 3–5+ years in content strategy, SEO or content marketing - ideally in an agency or fast-moving environment.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles - you know how internal linking, structure and keyword intent really work.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills - you can go from “vague brief” to “publish-ready strategy” fast.
  • Confident using AI to support (not replace) content workflows.
  • You can write and edit sharp, brand-aligned content briefs that drive both search and business outcomes.
  • Able to juggle multiple briefs, clients, industries - and still keep the quality high.
  • Bonus: Any exposure to AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) or interest in where search is heading beyond Google is a huge plus.
