Business Adviser – Digital Transformation (Multiple Roles)

• Salary:  Competitive salary + completion bonus (subject to terms).
• Benefits (pro-rata): 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, 6 annual per annum, employee healthcare cash plan, and more).
• Contract: Full-time (part-time considered but no less than 3 days per week), fixed-term 7 months (with possibility of 4-month extension)
• Start Date: We are seeking multiple candidates available to commence the role between October to December 2025.
• Location: Remote, with travel required to support businesses across West Yorkshire.
• Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible arrangements considered).

Join UMi as a Business Adviser and support small businesses in West Yorkshire by working directly with owners to help them adopt digital tools and strategies for growth, innovation, and competitiveness through enhanced marketing, processes, or products. 

In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise in digital transformation, business analysis, and problem solving to identify the unique needs of each SME, provide tailored advice, and guide them through the challenges of integrating new technologies to achieve measurable results. 

What we’re looking for:

• Digital and business experience: A track record of advising or supporting SMEs to adopt digital technology to improve productivity or enhance marketing, processes, or products.
• Consultant mindset: Able to work quickly, build trust, and “hit the ground running” in advising multiple small businesses.
• Financial and commercial understanding: Able to assess how tech adoption supports business growth plans and evaluate commercial impact.
• Effective communicator: Outstanding interpersonal skills for one-to-one support, plus clear, jargon-free advice.
• Self-starter: Organised and adaptable, able to manage your own caseload remotely, and comfortable attending occasional business events in West Yorkshire.
• Supportive team player: Willingness to share your expertise, learn, and contribute to wider team success. 

This role would be perfect for digital marketing or digital transformation specialists or consultants, business advisers (digital adoption, innovation, tech, or generalist roles), freelance digital specialists and advisors from business support programmes with a digital/tech focus who are interested in making a significant impact with businesses over the course of the project. 

Induction and onboarding will be provided so you can start strong, but we’re looking for people able to make an immediate impact with their digital, business, and advisory expertise.
