Role Description The Senior Business Developer will play a key role in driving growth for Velocity’s trading platform through strategic partnerships, new business opportunities, and market expansion. This full-time remote role involves identifying and qualifying leads, building and maintaining relationships with potential and existing partners, and negotiating commercial agreements. The Senior Business Developer will conduct in-depth market research to understand trends, competitor activity, and customer needs, and will use these insights to shape business development strategies. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams such as marketing, product, and customer support to align on growth initiatives, preparing and delivering presentations and proposals, and tracking performance against business development targets. The role also involves representing Velocity in virtual industry events, online communities, and key stakeholder meetings to enhance brand visibility and support long-term growth.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Market Research capabilities to evaluate opportunities, understand trends, and support data-driven decisions.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to present proposals, negotiate partnerships, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Lead Generation experience and the ability to build and manage a healthy sales pipeline across multiple markets and segments.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to foster long-term relationships, ensure partner satisfaction, and support retention and expansion opportunities.
- Experience in business development or sales within fintech, crypto, or financial services is highly beneficial.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding growth and revenue targets in a B2B or platform-driven environment.
- Comfort working in a remote, fast-paced, and evolving environment with strong self-management and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
