Freelance Video Editor – Short-Form Reels

A freelance video editor is needed to produce 30–60 short-form videos per month for use on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and potentially YouTube and LinkedIn. The role involves transforming raw content into engaging reels optimized for social media conversion and audience growth. This project requires both technical editing expertise and a strong understanding of content strategies that perform well on short-form platforms. The initial focus is on completing the first 30 videos within a 2–3 week timeframe, with the possibility of ongoing work and progression to a full-time opportunity for outstanding results. The role is fully remote and available for an immediate start.

Deliverables

• Edit 30–60 short-form reels (15–60 seconds each) monthly for social platforms.
• Apply captions, transitions, sound design, and motion graphics where appropriate to increase engagement.
• Optimize video formats and styles to align with social media best practices.
• Adapt content for multi-platform use (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn).
• Deliver first set of 30 edited videos within 2–3 weeks.
• Collaborate with the founder to align with brand tone, voice, and style references.

Requirements

• Proven experience editing short-form content for social media platforms.
• Proficiency in professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and attention-grabbing visual techniques.
• Familiarity with content strategies that drive conversions and audience growth.
• Ability to follow brand guidelines and reference examples while bringing fresh creativity.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage high-volume content editing within deadlines.
• Remote role; must be self-sufficient with access to editing tools and stable internet.
