2D Animator

Join a fast-paced, psychology-driven YouTube channel specializing in dark-humor animated quizzes and short clips. This role focuses on bringing a central character to life in 8 to 10 minute videos, using a style inspired by creators like Yellowdude and Captainworkout. The ideal candidate will excel at creating engaging, bingeable content with a sarcastic, cinematic tone, utilizing pose-driven emotion, kinetic text, rhythmic pacing, and meme inserts to maximize viewer retention. All work is remote and asynchronous, with recurring weekly projects. Responsibilities

• Animate 8–10 minute YouTube quiz videos and short clips in a style similar to Yellowdude or Captainworkout
• Develop expressive character animations using pose variations to convey emotion and comedic timing
• Integrate kinetic text, captions, jump cuts, and meme inserts to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement
• Edit for rhythmic pacing and retention-optimized storytelling, ensuring content is highly shareable and bingeable
• Collaborate asynchronously to deliver weekly animated content that aligns with the channel’s dark-humor, psychological themes
• Adapt to feedback and maintain consistency with the established visual style

Skills And Requirements

• Proficiency in any 2D animation software capable of producing the required visual style
• Strong understanding of comedic timing, pose-driven emotion, and social-media animation trends
• Experience creating content for YouTube or similar platforms, with a focus on audience retention and shareability
• Ability to work independently and meet weekly deadlines in a remote, async environment
• Familiarity with the aesthetics of creators like Captainworkout and Yellowdude is highly desirable
• Interest in psychological, self-help, or relationship content is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and openness to feedback
