The Role

We’re looking for a Culture Curator to help shape the public face of TrendXtra. This hybrid role requires someone who lives and breathes what's current — someone who can craft impactful daily articles and ensure our stories spark conversations across social media.

You’ll act as both a storyteller and a signal-booster, responsible for curating timely, culturally relevant content while managing the social voice of the brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Write daily (minimum 1 article) on topics such as:
• Emerging technology and engineering innovations
• Sustainability, climate, and future-forward trends
• Pop culture moments, public figures, and social commentary
• Sports, entertainment, and events shaping the zeitgeist
• Spot and pitch timely, original story ideas before they break.
• Manage our social media presence (X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.):
• Post and promote new articles
• Share trending snippets, quick takes, and visuals
• Engage meaningfully with followers
• Maintain consistency in tone, quality, and relevance

Who You Are

• A sharp writer with a strong news sense and a knack for storytelling
• Experience writing for an online publication, blog, or media outlet
• Comfortable working independently to meet daily deadlines
• In tune with digital culture, emerging trends, and social platforms
• Fluent in British English, with excellent grammar and clarity
• Passionate about at least one of the following: tech, sustainability, engineering, entertainment, pop culture, or sport

Bonus Points For

• SEO awareness and smart headline writing
• Canva or similar tools for visual social content
• Basic video editing skills for reels or news snippets
