Description The Jed Foundation (JED) is a nonprofit organization that protects emotional health and prevents suicide for our nation’s teens and young adults. JED seeks a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Vice President of Digital Products, the Product Manager will guide the strategy, execution, and performance of one of its most critical digital assets: JedFoundation.org. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced individual who is passionate about helping organizations grow and deliver impact through digital products and experiences. Initially, you will lead a team through the comprehensive redesign of JedFoundation.org to better serve each of its diverse audiences and organizational objectives. Following the launch, you will guide the product’s ongoing strategy and implementation to ensure it effectively supports JED's growth goals. You will be responsible for balancing three key priorities: delivering free, evidence-based resources through our Mental Health Resource Center; driving revenue through data-driven online fundraising; and growing the reach of JED's programs by generating qualified leads for our school, community, and policy/advocacy initiatives Key ResponsibilitiesWebsite Redesign & Launch (Year 1)

  • Discovery & Strategy: Guide the discovery, research, and strategic planning for the full-scale redesign of JedFoundation.org, aligning all stakeholders on project goals, KPI’s, scope, and audience needs.
  • Project Leadership: Act as the central owner for the redesign project, managing the timeline, budget, and relationships with internal teams (Marketing, Programs, Development) and external vendors (design and development agencies).
  • Collaborate on Product Design and Prototyping: Championing a user-centric and data-informed approach, you’ll partner with product designers in the co-creation, prototyping and testing of new site designs. You’ll support the design team in creating intuitive, engaging, and highly accessible (WCAG compliant) user journeys, along with a scalable UI design system for implementation. This includes working with youth and other key stakeholders to co-design solutions that deliver critical value for both JED and its users.
  • Requirements & Execution: Translate stakeholder needs and user research into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the engineering team.
  • QA Testing and Launch Preparation: Oversee the content migration, QA testing, and go-live procedure to mitigate risk of SEO loss and avoid introducing usability or performance issues.
  • Launch and Change Management: Work with internal staff and external partners to facilitate the deployment . Coordinate training and documentation support to ensure seamless change management. Establish baseline KPIs and measurement plans to evaluate the new site's success.

Ongoing Product Management & Strategy (Post-Launch)

  • Agile Leadership: Guide a cross-department team through continuous optimization and scaling of this product by championing a data-informed, iterative process where user feedback and analytics drive a shared roadmap of feature enhancements, growth experiments, fixes and ongoing maintenance. Develop and maintain product documentation, including product manuals, release notes, user guides, and FAQs.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Continuously analyze site performance using BI and data analytics tools to identify optimization opportunities and guide the ongoing implementation of data-informed product improvements. Collaborate with data and evaluation teams to ensure JED stakeholders and constituents have access to key data for reporting and growth. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of digital product trends and emerging technologies, and incorporate these into product management strategies.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external partners and ensure our digital products are developed and maintained according to best practices and industry standards.
  • Product Roadmap: Develop, own, and communicate the long-term product roadmap for JedFoundation.org, prioritizing features and enhancements that align with JED's strategic objectives.
  • Oversee The Quality Assurance Lifecycle: Refine and lead JED’s quality assurance testing protocols throughout the product lifecycle. Work with internal and external engineers, JED program staff, and external QA partners to ensure the site is performant and usable across audiences and devices.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the primary digital product expert, regularly reporting on performance, gathering feedback, and aligning cross-functional teams around a unified product vision.

Functional Optimization & Growth (Core Priorities)

  • Mental Health Resource Center: Partner with JED's clinical and content teams to enhance the discoverability, accessibility, and impact of our free, evidence-based mental health resources.
  • Data-Driven Fundraising: Collaborate with the Development and Marketing teams to design, test, and optimize online donation funnels, appeal pages, and user flows to grow revenue.

Program & Advocacy Lead Generation: Design and refine conversion pathways to capture and nurture new leads for JED's school and community programs, as well as its policy and advocacy work, integrating seamlessly with our CRM (e.g., Salesforce). Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in digital product management, with a proven track record of managing high-traffic, content-rich websites.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a large-scale product redesign from discovery through launch and iteration.
  • Strong technical literacy, including deep experience with CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, Wordpress), BI/analytics and data infrastructure (eg: GA4, Looker, Snowflake), collaboration/design and testing tools (eg: Figjam, Maze) experimentation and user behavior tools (VWO, Hotjar, Qualtrics).
  • Expertise in data-driven decision-making, with a strong ability to conduct A/B tests, analyze user data, and translate insights into product requirements.
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum development environment, with a strong understanding of product owner responsibilities.
  • Proven success in optimizing digital funnels for specific conversion goals, such as online fundraising, e-commerce, or lead generation.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to unite diverse, non-technical teams around a common goal.
  • Deep understanding of UX/UI principles and a passionate commitment to web accessibility (WCAG) and creating inclusive digital experiences.
  • Experience with SEO/SEM best practices and marketing automation/CRM integrations (Salesforce preferred).

Experience with social impact, behavioral health, or educationfield is a plus. Pay Ranges: The range listed on this job posting is based on JED's compensation posting ranges. The range(s) are informed by market research conducted across various U.S. regions and are designed to account for geographic differences in compensation. Actual salary will depend on factors such as experience, qualifications, and work location and may not exceed the posted pay ranges.Location/Travel Information: Roles at JED are primarily hybrid and based out of the New York City Tri‑State Area, which supports all of JED’s core services and functions. For positions supporting JED’s Policy & Advocacy team, the location is based in the Washington, D.C. area. Certain positions may have additional or specific location requirements as determined by organizational needs.Location requirements for each role are specified on the top right of this job opening page — please pay particular attention when applying. Also note that JED does not cover permanent relocation costs at this time. In‑person attendance is required for periodic retreats or business meetings at JED’s central office in NYC or other locations as designated by JED leadership.
