Social Media Coordinator (Part-Time)

Sole Retriever is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Part-Time Social Media Coordinator to join our team and help elevate our digital presence in the sneaker and sports community. We're looking for someone who lives and breathes sneaker culture, understands the pulse of social media, and can create content that resonates with our audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation & Curation: Source, create, and curate high-quality visual content including photos, videos, and graphics that showcase sneakers, sports culture, and brand storytelling
• Platform Management: Publish and manage content across major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, Facebook, YouTube, etc.)
• Trend Monitoring: Stay ahead of social media trends, viral content, and cultural moments to identify opportunities for brand participation and engagement
• Community Engagement: Respond to comments, messages, and mentions while maintaining brand voice and building community relationships
• Analytics & Reporting: Track performance metrics, analyze content effectiveness, and provide insights for strategy optimization
• Brand Collaboration: Coordinate with influencers, athletes, and brand partners for collaborative content opportunities
• Real-Time Content: Create timely content around sneaker releases, sports events, and trending topics

Essential Qualifications:

• Sneaker & Sports Expertise: Deep knowledge of current sneaker culture, releases, and sports (particularly basketball and football) with ability to speak authentically to our community
• Social Media Savvy: Strong understanding of platform algorithms, best practices, and emerging trends across all major social channels
• Visual Content Skills: Exceptional eye for high-quality imagery and video content; ability to distinguish premium visuals from low-quality alternatives
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with content creation tools including Photoshop, Canva, CapCut, or similar video editing software
• Self-Publishing Experience: Proven ability to independently manage and publish content across multiple social platforms
• Proactive Mindset: Self-starting attitude with ability to identify opportunities, propose ideas, and execute initiatives without constant direction
• Flexible Availability: Adaptable schedule to handle time-sensitive content opportunities, breaking news, and unexpected brand moments

Experience

• Previous experience in social media marketing, preferably in sports, fashion, or lifestyle brands
• Photography and videography skills
• Understanding of social media advertising and paid promotion strategies
• Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, etc.)
• Knowledge of SEO principles and hashtag strategy
• Familiarity with influencer marketing and collaboration processes
