Role Overview Rex is hiring a Director of Marketing to lead investor-facing growth. We’re looking for a world-class generalist with deep execution firepower in growth marketing, performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, and digital infrastructure—fluent in content, campaigns, CRM, paid media, and brand. You’ll build and scale a professional brand to drive trust, visibility, and capital attraction. This is a mission-critical leadership role at the intersection of capital formation, strategic communications, and brand development. While experience with real estate investing (especially multifamily) and investor audiences (UHNWIs, family offices, accredited via crowdfunding) is a plus, we prioritize elite marketing execution above industry familiarity. These domains can be learned with support—what matters most is your ability to build and run a high-performance marketing engine. You will serve as the operational backbone and strategic architect of our marketing function—bringing order to chaos, structure to vision, and execution at pace. Highly organized, process-driven, and methodical, you’ll lead full-cycle marketing execution, initially as a solo contributor with access to freelancers and agencies. You’ll work directly with Peter Rex and investment leadership to scale one of the most distinctive investor-facing brands in the private markets. A core part of the role will be developing and expanding a professional brand to serve as the public-facing identity of the firm—shaping how we earn trust, signal excellence, and attract capital at scale. Key Responsibilities Investor-Facing Marketing & Communications

  • Lead investor marketing initiatives targeting UHNWIs, family offices, RIAs, and accredited investors
  • Craft institutional-grade messaging, visual narratives, and communications materials for fund launches, updates, and capital campaigns, especially related to multifamily real estate
  • Build scalable content engines: newsletters, webinars, pitch decks, quarterly updates, and annual reports

Brand Strategy & Professional Platform Development

  • Shape the overarching investment brand strategy across Rex Capital and related verticals
  • Build and scale a professional brand aligned with capital formation goals
  • Ensure all messaging reflects credibility, clarity, and long-term stewardship of capital

Full-Cycle Marketing Execution

  • Plan and execute campaigns across organic and paid social media, email, display, and other digital channels, leveraging content and marketing systems,
  • Manage freelancers, agencies, and contributors to ensure high-quality, on-brand execution
  • Implement structured marketing operations: calendars, metrics, reporting, and QA processes

Digital Infrastructure & Investor Acquisition

  • Own the optimization of investor funnels—from content engagement to capital commitment
  • Develop landing pages, drip campaigns, segmentation strategies, and tracking infrastructure
  • Leverage SEO, SEM, and content distribution to efficiently reach accredited investors

Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration

  • Align closely with investment, IR, and legal teams to ensure all communications are accurate, compliant, and strategic
  • Collaborate with product, tech, and operations leaders to integrate investor messaging across the ecosystem

Investor Community Cultivation & Partnership Program Formation

  • Launch in-person investor events and rallies in key cities to build community and grassroots buzz
  • Design and manage a flagship annual investor conference
  • Develop partnerships with larger capital providers to unlock access to deal flow, intellectual content, and VIP experiences

Ideal Candidate ProfileExperience

  • 8–12 years in marketing roles with demonstrated strength in:
  • Growth Marketing (scaling traffic, conversion funnels, and acquisition channels)
  • Performance Marketing (paid digital campaigns optimized for ROI)
  • Lifecycle Marketing (email, drip campaigns, and nurturing sequences)
  • Digital Marketing Infrastructure (SEO/SEM, CRM, and web UX)
  • Marketing Leadership (strategy, management, brand building)
  • Experience with private equity, venture capital, real estate investment, or capital markets is a plus—but not required
  • Familiarity with real estate investing (especially multifamily) and investor psychology is also a plus—not a prerequisite

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $100,000 - $300,000 annually
  • Equity Incentive: Opportunity for equity participation in deals, with alignment to capital raised — e.g. a percentage of the GP promote, tying personal success to long-term platform growth
