Responsibilities As the Director, Internal Digital Strategy for the internal communications team at Ascension, operating in 19 states with 139,000 employees and $28 billion in annual revenue, you will manage the integration of Ascension’s associate-facing technology platforms focusing on usability, functionality and output. You’ll support the associate experience of internal communications platforms that support associates focusing on a strategy to increase unique visits, click-through rate, page views, engagement and usability. As a trusted partner and shared resource for our other internal communications systems teams and technology teams, you’re a collaborator, a top-notch communicator and an experienced program manager. The role will report to the Sr. Director of Change Communications and Digital Strategy. Responsibilities

  • Oversee digital transformation project, including connectivity of Oracle Fusion and UKG Pro cloud applications through a company intranet
  • Collaborate with technology partners to strategically integrate communications channels with company information platforms
  • Develop and execute a strategy for redesign of company intranet and other channels to increase engagement
  • Work to create robust analytics and dashboards to better understand capabilities of company channels making recommendations based on user experience and data trends
  • Establish and document best practices and governance for technology usage
  • Drive data-based KPIs for channel integration, tied to strategic, operational and advocacy objectives
  • Work closely with internal business partners to create strategies to drive engagement and share communications effectively
  • Combine strategic thinking and big-picture perspective with attention to detail, clarity and focus
  • Partner with and manage third-party vendors as needed

Complexity of Work

  • Requires excellent understanding of technology including headless CMS platforms, product management skills, an eye for detail, technical savvy, and the ability to easily learn and manage new tools and systems.
  • Ideally the candidate will also have a knowledge of the evolving healthcare audiences, deskless workforces.
  • Must be able to work well across matrixed teams and demonstrate the efficiency and the delivery of reliable results in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.

Additional Preferences Education

  • Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience

  • 7 years in a communications technology role, with experience leading internal communications technology initiatives
  • Significant experience partnering with internal technology teams
  • A keen understanding of user experience and needs
  • Adept at project management and evolving new communications tools, processes and channels for large, matrixed organizations
  • A people management background in a primarily remote setting
  • A previous background that included oversight of company-wide communications strategies and tools
  • Experience developing clear KPIs and reporting out to multiple teams, including senior executives
  • Previous experience supporting an ERP implementation desired
  • Experience working with LumApps or similar intranet platforms is preferred
  • Experience with SiteCore preferred
  • Experience with Oracle MAF and Java Script preferred
