About the role

Koalendar helps businesses, schools, and organizations make appointment scheduling simple. We’re an independent, bootstrapped SaaS with a generous free plan and a self-serve upgrade model.

We’re looking for a hands-on Head of Growth to help more people discover Koalendar, experience its value, become paying customers, and stay with us.

You’ll work directly with me, the founder, combining customer insight, data, and experimentation to decide where we should focus and turn those decisions into shipped improvements.

# What you’ll own

  • Own our acquisition strategy: identify the customer segments, messages, and channels that can bring Koalendar more paying customers sustainably.
  • Grow effective channels and test new ones, including opportunities in SEO, paid acquisition, affiliates, partnerships, and communities. Decide where to invest and what to stop.
  • Improve our positioning, campaigns, website, and landing pages to attract the right users and turn more visitors into signups.
  • Develop ways for the product itself to drive acquisition through shared booking pages, referrals, and team invitations.
  • Improve activation, free-to-paid conversion, retention, and expansion, starting with the biggest opportunities in the customer journey.
  • Lead experiments across onboarding, lifecycle emails, pricing, and upgrade flows, working directly with the founder on product changes.
  • Personally build and launch work within your skill set, and use agencies and freelancers to extend your execution with clear briefs and measurable goals.
  • Measure acquisition costs, channel performance, conversion, retention, and revenue. Use the evidence to decide what to scale, change, or stop.

We expect you to choose a few meaningful priorities at a time and follow them through.

# What we’re looking for

You’ve helped scale a comparable SaaS. Ideally, you’ve played a significant role in growing a freemium or self-serve SaaS from around $1m to $10m+ ARR. Comparable experience counts, particularly with a bootstrapped business, small-business customers, or similar subscription economics. We want to understand what you personally contributed.

You still enjoy doing the work. You can show things you’ve analyzed, written, built, launched, and improved yourself. You have particular depth in product growth, lifecycle marketing, or conversion, with enough acquisition experience to direct specialists well.

You’re comfortable with data and customers. You can investigate funnels and cohorts independently, spot measurement problems, and understand what the numbers cannot tell you. You also talk to users and turn what you learn into better experiences.

You have commercial judgment. You understand how acquisition costs, conversion, pricing, retention, and expansion fit together. You’re thoughtful about spending in a bootstrapped company.

You’re curious, dependable, and easy to work with. You bring ideas, ask good questions, communicate clearly, and follow through. You can challenge the founder constructively and change your mind when the evidence changes.

We’d also love to hear about something you took the initiative to create or improve, inside or outside your day job.

# Why join

  • Direct collaboration with a technical founder who can help turn ideas into product changes.
  • Meaningful influence over the product experience and how the business grows.
  • A useful product serving a broad range of real scheduling needs.
  • Remote work, room for focused execution, and the opportunity to build a lean growth function.

# Your first 90 days

You’ll establish a reliable view of the funnel, speak with customers, agree on the biggest opportunities, and ship a focused set of improvements.
