Director of Product Marketing (Remote from Germany)

This role is ideal for a seasoned product marketing leader who thrives in building and scaling consumer finance experiences from the ground up. You will define positioning, strategy, and go-to-market plans for innovative digital finance products while ensuring messaging is clear, trusted, and accessible for global audiences. The position combines hands-on execution with leadership, requiring collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Growth teams to drive adoption, engagement, and retention. You will also establish scalable frameworks, systems, and processes for the product marketing function while coaching and developing team members. This is a highly strategic and visible role with the opportunity to shape the future of consumer digital finance platforms in an evolving market. Accountabilities

• Define product marketing strategy, positioning, and go-to-market plans for new consumer finance products
• Translate complex financial and technical concepts into simple, consumer-friendly narratives that drive trust and adoption
• Lead product launches and lifecycle marketing efforts, from early-stage introduction to scaled adoption
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Growth teams to align marketing strategies with product development and business objectives
• Establish frameworks, processes, and systems to scale the product marketing function and ensure repeatable success
• Develop and mentor Product Marketing Managers, guiding execution while building foundations for team growth
• Conduct market analysis, user research, and competitive intelligence to inform positioning and GTM strategies
• Ensure messaging resonates across diverse global audiences, including emerging markets

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in product marketing, consumer marketing, or related roles
• Proven track record leading marketing for consumer-facing financial or transactional products
• Demonstrated ability to define strategy independently and execute hands-on when necessary
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Growth, and Engineering teams
• Skilled in consumer insights, user research, and data-informed marketing strategy
• Experience operating in ambiguous or rapidly evolving markets, developing GTM plans from scratch
• Strong analytical and creative skills, with excellent executive presence and communication
• Experience in fintech, neobank, or consumer platforms with embedded financial features is highly preferred
• Exposure to international or emerging markets is a plus
• Experience repositioning a product into a broader platform or ecosystem is advantageous
