Public Relations Strategist-Contract

Position Overview

Jack Taylor is seeking a senior PR strategist (at least 8-10 years experience) for a TBD term that brings deep experience in big picture PR & communications strategy development, preferably in the healthcare, health tech, telehealth, and related industries/categories. The primary function of this role is to support an existing account team (inclusive of Director/Supervisor, Media Relations, Coordinator/Analyst) during a busy Q4/EOY period as they prepare to onboard two (2) new clients. The current account team requires time to focus on existing clients but is expected to work with this position to participate fully in the onboarding process. This position is not client facing.

Core Role & Responsibilities

• Take the lead on/support the Account Director in developing two (2) 6-month PR plans
• Inclusive of: goals/objectives, competitor landscape/SOV analysis, strategies/tactics, timeline, ingredients for success, thought leadership, editorial angles, awards/speaking ops, KPIs, and more
• Take on majority of PR plan development + work with Account Director to assign out specific sections to wider account team
• Facilitate creative brainstorming sessions to build out core components of the PR plans
• Inclusive of: major brand launch and launch event in January, editorial angles, media/new media targets, trends/cultural conversations, thought leadership ops, etc.
• Support Account Director as needed in managing the administrative tasks needed for seamless onboarding and PR plan development process
• Provide guidance, and when needed executional support, for outreach, partnership coordination, etc. during the onboarding and PR plan development process
• Operate in the background, attending all internal meetings (and listening back to client calls) related to 2 new clients to inform strategy development
