Community & Talent Engagement Specialist

FlowFi is hiring a Community & Talent Engagement Specialist to play a foundational role in how we attract, onboard, and engage our growing 1099 Expert Network—fractional CFOs, accountants, and tax experts who power our client work.

This is not your typical community role. You’ll sit at the intersection of recruiting, people ops, and community messaging, building systems and content that make our experts feel seen, supported, and connected—from the first moment they hear about us to long after they’ve joined the network.

Your work will help shape the expert journey:

• Nurture leads in the recruiting pipeline
• Create content and programs that smooths onboarding
• Run community engagement and events
• Launch and manage referral initiatives
• Build a voice and brand that attracts top-tier talent

You’ll partner directly with recruiting to identify opportunities to warm leads, close top talent faster, and deliver an onboarding experience that builds immediate trust. Then you’ll keep that momentum going—building community, creating space for experts to connect, and tracking signals of satisfaction, churn, and referral intent.

You might be a fit if you've done:

• University or early-career recruiting, especially with programmatic or brand-focused responsibilities
• HR generalist or people operations roles with experience in onboarding or internal engagement
• Community or internal communications for a distributed team or freelance workforce
• Recruiting coordination or candidate experience work with a storytelling and systems mindset

You're probably great at this if:

• You have a background in accounting or finance, which helps you more deeply understand and relate to the expert network you’re supporting.
• You're an exceptional writer who can make people feel included and excited through copy.
• You love creating systems that scale—but still feel personal.
• You’re a connector who naturally builds trust and enjoys getting to know people’s “why.”
• You love tracking engagement, signals, and feedback—and know how to turn data into action.
• You’re a creative problem-solver who thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
• You understand the world of fractional or 1099 work (or are excited to learn it quickly).
