Freelance Social Media Content Creator

This role is focused on producing and ideating culturally relevant short-form video content to grow Enzymedica’s organic reach and resonance, especially on TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

ORGANIC SOCIAL | CONTENT CREATION

12-15 hours per week

- Output expectations: 4-5 edited short-form videos/week, along with 4-5 weekly trend/content pitches.

- Concept, film, and edit social-first video content weekly using a phone-native, lo-fi approach (CapCut, in-app tools, etc.).

- Act as both director and talent when needed (voiceover, hands, POV, lifestyle scenes).

- Create engaging, shareable content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

- Translate product features, campaigns, and cultural trends into compelling short-form videos.

- Work with SMM to analyze performance data and tweak content strategy

ORGANIC SOCIAL | TRENDS AND STRATEGY

4-6 hours per week

- Stay immersed in wellness and digestive health conversations—Reddit threads, niche creators, memes, subcultures—and bring back bold, relevant ideas that feel of the internet.

- Monitor TikTok, Reels, Threads, and YouTube for trends, memes, and platform updates.

- Pitch 4–5 weekly content ideas that tap into current conversations and wellness culture.

- Test new platform features and content formats; track and share results.

- Identify opportunities to respond to cultural moments, trending topics, or brand mentions.

- Analyze competitor activity and surface strategic content gaps we can fill.

- Collaborate with the team to turn campaign goals into scroll-stopping ideas.

DETAILS:

- Reports to Sr Social Media Manager

- Communication Cadence: Weekly check-ins with Senior Social Media Manager and Marketing Assistant to align on calendar, trends, and priorities. Included in group text for quick, day-to-day comms.

- Review & Feedback: All content approved by Senior Social Media Manager. Expectation of 1–2 rounds of edits. Trends turned around in 2–3 days; planned content in 1–2 weeks.

- Content rights: Any content created is 100% owned by Enzymedica for reuse, boosting, or whitelisting.
