The Role
This is a senior, hands-on growth leadership role responsible for driving user acquisition, activation, retention, and monetisation across the entire funnel. This position is offered on an equity-only basis. There is no salary at this stage. The role is intended for someone who is motivated by ownership, long-term value creation, and the opportunity to materially shape the trajectory of the business. You will work directly with the Founder and have significant influence over product direction, go-to-market strategy, and commercial priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Strategy & Execution
· Own and execute Earnly’s end-to-end growth strategy across acquisition, activation, retention, and revenue.
· Identify and prioritise the highest-impact growth levers through data, experimentation, and insight.
· Design, run, and analyse rapid growth experiments across channels (paid, organic, partnerships, product-led growth).
Acquisition & Partnerships
· Develop scalable acquisition channels, including partnerships (e.g. accountants, advisors), referrals, and content-led growth.
· Test and validate early paid acquisition where appropriate, with a strong focus on CAC and unit economics.
· Work closely with the Founder on partnership strategy and B2B2C distribution.
Product-Led Growth
· Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to optimise onboarding, activation, and retention.
· Influence product roadmap decisions based on growth insights and user behaviour.
· Improve conversion at key funnel stages through UX, messaging, and pricing experiments.
Analytics & Measurement
· Define and own core growth metrics (CAC, LTV, activation rates, retention, MRR).
· Build lightweight reporting and dashboards to inform decisions.
· Ensure growth decisions are evidence-based and commercially grounded.
Leadership & Ownership
· Act as the functional owner of Growth within the business.
· Help shape future hires in marketing, growth, and partnerships as the company scales.
· Represent growth priorities in leadership discussions and planning.
Equity & Compensation
· Equity-only position (no salary at this stage).
· Equity allocation to be agreed based on experience, time commitment, and impact.
· Opportunity to move into a paid role as the company reaches key revenue or funding milestones.
· Potential long-term progression into a VP Growth or CMO-type role, depending on company evolution and fit.
Ideal Candidate
Proven experience driving growth in an early-stage startup, ideally within FinTech, SaaS, or a regulated environment.
· Strong understanding of growth frameworks, experimentation, and funnel optimisation.
· Comfortable operating with ambiguity, limited resources, and high ownership.
· Commercially minded with a strong grasp of unit economics.
· Data-literate and able to make decisions using imperfect information.
· Entrepreneurial mindset — motivated by equity, impact, and building something meaningful from the ground up.
