The Communications & Engagement Coordinator of the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation plays a vital role in implementing communications efforts and facilitating community/stakeholder engagement to advance our mission. Specifically, the Coordinator will manage and coordinate all aspects of communications, community/stakeholder engagement, and project management for our Wellbeing First Champion Challenge program as well as our executive leadership’s speaking engagements.
The Coordinator will work closely across internal teams, external stakeholders, and community partners to ensure goals are met efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, attention to detail, a collaborative spirit, and a deep commitment to our mission.
ResponsibilitiesCommunity/Stakeholder Engagement
- Program Support: Lead and maintain regular communication and engagement with participants in the Wellbeing First Champion Challenge program, including timely response to all inquiries and submissions from licensure board and health system leaders.
- Event Support: Lead and maintain regular communication and engagement with event organizers to successfully secure and prepare speaking engagements for the Foundation’s executive leadership team at conferences, summits, webinars, podcasts, etc.
- Leadership & Team Support: Assist the cross-functional Foundation team members and leadership in outreach and engagement efforts to ensure our partners, collaborators, and program participants always have a positive experience with the Foundation.
Communications
- Content Creation: Write and produce high-quality content for various channels, including presentations, press releases, website, and social media for executive leaders’ speaking engagements and the Wellbeing First Champion Challenge program.
- Email Marketing: Design and execute email marketing campaigns to advance engagement in the Wellbeing First Champion Challenge Program and usage of its resources and technical assistance opportunities.
- Event Promotion: Create and implement events and speaking engagements promotion, ensuring strong pre-/post-event communication outreach and engagement strategies.
Project Management
- Tracking & Documentation Systems: Manage and maintain internal tracking and documentation systems for the Wellbeing First Champion Challenge program and Executive Leadership’s Speaking Engagements.
- Operations & Administrative Support: Book and coordinate travel and logistics for executive leaders’ speaking engagements, including collaborating with Operations Director for accounting and contractual processes and policies.
- Reporting & Evaluation: Monitor, collect, and report the impact data of program and event communications and engagements for evaluation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in communications, community engagement, or related roles (internships, part-time roles, and volunteer experience accepted).
- Experience creating content for social media, email marketing, or other communication channels.
- Experience in booking travel and accommodations, including logistics coordination.
- Experience working in healthcare or public health is preferred.
- Experience working with community groups or customer-facing environments is a plus.
- Passion for the Foundation’s mission and dedication to making a positive impact on healthcare workers’ wellbeing.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational and project-coordination skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong experience organizing and managing data within spreadsheets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to write clear, engaging, audience-appropriate content.
- Knowledge of social media and email marketing platforms and comfort with analytics tools.
- Basic design or content creation skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express).
- Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative work style.
Compensation & Work Environment
- Salary Range: $40,000 – 50,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
- Work Location: Remote
- Travel: This position requires the occasional ability to travel for staff retreats and annual meetings.
