The product launched in late 2022 — one of the earliest consumer AI image products to reach the market — scaled to $1M ARR in its first months, and has been profitable since day 1. The platform now spans AI image generation for personal and professional use, brand and e-commerce assets, and a Teams product, with a long-term vision of a full creative suite across images, video, and audio. The Role This is the company’s first full-time Growth Lead. Marketing has been handled by the founder plus a few contractors; this hire takes the wheel and owns growth end-to-end — taking over existing initiatives and designing and launching net-new ones. This is a scrappy operator seat, not a senior manager role. What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and execute growth strategy end-to-end across influencer marketing, performance marketing, and organic content
- Take over existing initiatives currently run by the founder and contractors
- Design and launch new growth initiatives from scratch
- Drive measurable impact on customer acquisition and revenue growth
- Work directly with the founder to shape the growth narrative as the platform expands into video and audio
- Operate as a high-agency, scrappy operator across multiple growth functions simultaneously
Requirements
- 2-6 years of marketing or growth experience
- First full-time growth hire at profitable AI startup
- Scrappy operator with high agency
- End-to-end ownership across multiple channels
- Fully remote, US or Canada preferred
- Reports directly to founder
Green Flags
- Prior first marketing hire or founding growth at a consumer or prosumer startup that scaled past $5M ARR
- Performance marketing agency owner or operator with a proven track record running paid acquisition for high-growth consumer brands
- Owned multiple marketing functions simultaneously at a startup (influencer + performance + organic content)
- Demonstrated measurable impact: can walk through specific campaigns, channels, and outcome metrics in past roles. Numbers, not vibes.
- Familiarity with generative AI products, AI creator tools, or AI-driven consumer brands
Red Flags
- Senior manager-only profile who delegates execution — this is a scrappy operator seat, not a marketing lead managing others
- Single-function specialist (e.g., only performance marketing or only social media) without willingness to own multiple channels
- 20+ years of marketing experience without a scrappy operator signal in recent roles
- Big-co marketing background (FAANG, big consumer brands) without a startup adaptation or a 0-to-1 ownership signal
- Marketing operators who treat AI as hype or refuse to use AI tools in their workflow
