E-commerce Site Operations Coordinator

Columbus, OH - Fully Remote

3-month contract with possible extension and/or conversion

Full Time – 40 hours/week

Position Overview

Our leading children’s media and education client is seeking a detail-oriented, execution-focused E-commerce Site Operations Coordinator to support its digital commerce team during the busy holiday season. This contractor will help bring seasonal campaigns, promotional activations, and product updates to life across the company's e-commerce experience.

Working closely with the existing e-commerce, creative, marketing, and digital operations teams, this individual will execute website updates, build and maintain pages, manage product setup and sequencing, and ensure all site changes are accurate and ready for launch. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with established plans, tight deadlines, and multiple competing priorities.

This is a hands-on execution role for someone who can quickly learn existing workflows, manage assigned tasks independently, and help ensure the website accurately reflects current business priorities and promotional strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Website Updates and Publishing: Build, update, and maintain website pages and content in accordance with established site plans, creative direction, and business requirements.
  • Product Setup and Merchandising: Set up new products, manage product sequencing and placement, and ensure products are presented accurately across the e-commerce experience.
  • Promotional Activation: Execute promotional updates, pricing changes, and seasonal campaign activations to ensure approved offers and marketing initiatives are accurately reflected on the site.
  • Site Flips and Launch Execution: Support scheduled website updates and seasonal transitions, coordinating with digital operations and other partners to ensure changes are completed on time.
  • Quality Assurance: Review pages, product details, promotional messaging, pricing, and other site elements for accuracy, functionality, and consistency before and after publishing, as appropriate.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with e-commerce, creative, marketing, and digital operations teams to gather necessary assets and information, clarify requirements, and resolve issues.
  • Task and Timeline Management: Track assigned updates, manage deadlines, communicate progress, and proactively flag discrepancies, blockers, or risks that could affect launch timelines.

Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years of experience in e-commerce operations, website production, digital merchandising, web content management, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience building, updating, or publishing website pages using a content management system or e-commerce platform.
  • Experience with product setup, product sequencing, site merchandising, promotional updates, or digital campaign execution.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, particularly with product information, pricing, promotional offers, and website content.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively across creative, marketing, and technical teams.
  • Ability to work independently, follow established processes, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute quickly with limited onboarding.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting seasonal site updates, promotional launches, or high-volume e-commerce environments.
  • Familiarity with website quality assurance, launch checklists, and digital operations workflows.
  • Experience working with creative assets, page layouts, product catalogs, and cross-functional marketing calendars.

What Success Looks Like

The successful person will help maintain smooth day-to-day e-commerce operations throughout the holiday season by ensuring site updates, product launches, and promotional activations are completed accurately and on schedule. They will quickly learn established workflows, provide dependable execution support, and free up the internal team to focus on broader planning and strategic priorities.
