ABOUT BLUE GOAT LAND LEADS
Blue Goat Marketing (DBA Blue Goat Land Leads) is a fast-growing and award-winning digital marketing agency headquartered in Austin, Texas, built to help contractors dominate their local markets across the U.S.
Our website: www.landclearinginsights.com
We specialize in SEO, PPC, web design, and CRM services — primarily for land clearing, excavation, demolition, and site prep contractors. Our marketing doesn’t just look good — it drives real calls, real jobs, and real revenue.
We work hard, move fast, and take results seriously — but keep the culture fun, high-energy, and positive. Our team loves what we do, and it shows in our client retention and outcomes.
LAUNCH SPECIALIST — POSITION OVERVIEW
We’re looking for a Launch Specialist to own the new client onboarding experience at Blue Goat Land Leads. When a sale is made, you take the baton — getting access to every platform, completing the technical setup, running the kickoff call, and ensuring the client is fully operational before handing them off to their assigned Account Manager.
This role sits at the intersection of technical knowledge and client communication. You need to understand how SEO, paid ads, hosting, GBP, CRM, and web management work — not because someone will teach you, but because you already know. Agency experience is strongly preferred because you’ve seen this process before and you know what a clean launch looks like.
You are the client’s first real experience working with our team. A smooth, confident, well-organized onboarding sets the tone for everything that follows. A disorganized one is hard to recover from.
WHAT WE OFFERPay Rate: $15-18 hourly
Performance Bonuses: Cash bonuses based on performance
Paid Time Off (PTO): 10 days (80 hours) per year, prorated first year
Paid Holidays: 10 paid holidays per year
Revenue Share: Bi-annual program that rewards employees with a percentage of company revenue, giving you a direct stake in our growth.
Location: Remote – US-Based
Position Type: Full-Time
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGClient Kickoff & Access Collection
• Kickoff Call: Run the initial onboarding call with every new client — introduce the team, confirm services, set expectations, and collect everything needed to get started.
• Access Collection: Obtain access to all required platforms: Google Business Profile, Google Ads account, Meta Ads account, website/hosting (WP Engine, GoDaddy, or other), Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and any other relevant tools.
• Documentation: Record all access, credentials, and onboarding notes in ClickUp and the client’s Google Drive folder.
Technical Platform Setup
• GBP Setup: Create or verify the client’s Google Business Profile if not yet live. Confirm categories, service areas, hours, and NAP accuracy.
• GHL Sub-Account: Coordinate with the GHL Specialist to ensure the client’s CRM sub-account is created and configured — confirm the sub-account is ready before handoff.
• Ads Account Setup: Confirm Google Ads and/or Meta Ads accounts are created and connected — coordinate with the respective Ads Specialists.
• Domain & Hosting: Confirm domain access and hosting environment are in order for web build handoff to the Web Developer.
Onboarding Checklist Completion
• Own the Checklist: Work through the full client onboarding checklist — every item must be confirmed complete before the handoff to the Account Manager.
• Chase What’s Missing: If client-side items are delayed (missing assets, unprovided access, etc.), follow up consistently and document every attempt in ClickUp.
• Blockers: Escalate any internal blockers to the Manager of Client Success immediately — do not let onboarding stall silently.
Client Communication During Onboarding
• Primary Point of Contact: You are the client’s main contact from sale through handoff. Respond to client questions and requests within the same business day.
• Set Expectations: Communicate clearly what is happening, what is coming next, and what the client needs to provide at each stage.
• Tone & Professionalism: The kickoff experience should feel organized, confident, and warm — clients should feel good about their decision before they’ve seen a single result.
Handoff to Account Manager
• Handoff Package: When the onboarding checklist is complete, prepare and deliver the full handoff to the assigned AM: all access confirmed, Fathom/onboarding call recording, open items or flags, billing date confirmed.
• ClickUp Confirmation: The AM acknowledges receipt in ClickUp before the onboarding task is closed.
• Clean Transfers Only: Do not hand off clients with unresolved setup issues, missing access, or uncommunicated flags. If something is incomplete, document it and get approval from the Manager of Client Success before proceeding.
Internal Coordination
• Cross-Team Communication: Coordinate actively with the Web Developer, GHL Specialist, SEO team, and Ads Specialists throughout onboarding — you are the hub that connects all teams for a new client.
• ClickUp: All tasks, updates, access confirmations, and client communications are logged in ClickUp. Nothing lives only in your head or your inbox.
• Weekly Team Meeting: Attend the Manager of Client Success’s weekly team meeting — report on the onboarding pipeline status and flag any blockers.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORMust-Have Experience
• Prior agency experience — you’ve onboarded clients before and you know what a complete, clean launch looks like
• Working knowledge of Google Business Profile, Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO fundamentals, and website hosting (WP Engine or similar)
• Familiarity with CRM platforms — GoHighLevel experience is a strong plus
• Experience collecting and managing access to multiple platforms simultaneously without things falling through the cracks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills — you can run a professional client call and write a clear follow-up email
• Detail-oriented and organized — you track every open item and nothing stays unresolved without a documented next step
• Comfortable working remotely and managing your own time across multiple concurrent client onboardings
Nice to Have
• Experience with ClickUp for task management and team communication
• Experience with domain management
• Background in contractor, home services, or local service industries
• Experience using Fathom, Loom, or similar tools for recording and documenting client calls
Tools You Should Know
• Google Business Profile Manager
• Google Ads (account access and basic setup)
• Meta Business Suite / Meta Ads Manager (account access)
• GoHighLevel — sub-account access and basic navigation
• GoDaddy (delegate access requests and DNS basics)
• Google Drive for client folder management and documentation
Soft Skills
• Organized under pressure — you can manage 10+ clients in different stages of onboarding without losing track of any of them
• Proactive communicator — you follow up before being asked and flag delays before they become problems
• Client-confident — you run a kickoff call like you’ve done it a hundred times
• Team player — you coordinate across multiple internal teams daily and you make it easy to work with you
• High ownership — you don’t hand off problems, you hand off completed work
