About this role
Client’s client is seeking an experienced social media specialist to help tell the client’s story, especially as we gear up for client’s biggest event of the year taking place September 24–26. In this role, you’ll support the development and execution of organic social media content as part of client’s broader event strategy, while also contributing to client’s ongoing corporate content efforts.
You’ll represent the client’s brand and bring client’s voice to life – down to every word, em dash, and emoji. You’ll help craft standout social campaigns, connect with client’s target audiences, and play a meaningful role in growing client’s digital presence.
Client’s team works globally to shape the conversation around client’s, identity, security, and tech innovation. We collaborate with press, analysts, customers, employees, and the public—serving as both storytellers and strategists. This role is a key part of client’s expanding team and evolving narrative.
What you will do
- Drive and support client’s organic social media strategy across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok with a strong focus on event-specific content before, during, and after the event.
- Craft creative, on-brand content for ’s owned social channels and ensure consistency across platforms.
- Assist with influencer partnerships at the event.
- Collaborate on channel strategy and content prioritization, helping determine which event and campaign moments to amplify, and where.
- Develop scalable processes and best practices for event-driven social media activation.
- Support employee advocacy efforts by surfacing event-related content through client’s internal engagement platform.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure social coverage aligns with event goals and remains on brand.
- Coordinate with global marketing leads to incorporate event into regional social strategies.
- Help manage and optimize event-related video content, especially for YouTube.
- Stay current on social trends and the competitive landscape to inform real-time event engagement and future campaigns.
- Set performance goals and regularly analyze and optimize content based on results.
Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in social media, in-house or at an agency.
- Experience managing the day-to-day operations of social media channels, including content creation, publishing, community management, and analytics.
- Experience promoting B2B technology events or conferences via organic social media, ideally including pre-, during, and post-event campaigns.
- Familiarity with influencer and creator relations.
- Experience with social media publishing, listening, and analytics tools.
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams and leadership to develop social media content and campaigns.
- Ability to turn social measurement into insights and create actionable, data-backed reports, compile results, and provide recommendations.
- A creative mindset, with the ability to quickly identify trending topics and know when to engage.
- A strong, clear writing style and voice, with excellent writing and editing skills. Experience writing for social is a must.
- A detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple, high-profile projects and deliverables.
- BS/BA degree.
- Knowledge of Sprout Social is a plus.
