SEO Contractor

Compensation: $50/hr

About AVIXA: AVIXA is a global association representing the audiovisual industry. Part of our mission is to provide high-quality training and certification, helping professionals excel in the AV industry.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled SEO Contractor to enhance our search traffic and visibility, primarily for AVIXA's educational products, including Training and Certification. The ideal candidate is experienced, self-motivated, and has a track record of success in SEO-focused roles, particularly with niche tech audiences. Experience with AV is a plus!

Key Responsibilities:

• SEO/AEO Strategy: Implement strategies to bolster visibility for AVIXA's educational offerings, whether through traditional search or AI results.
• Content Refreshes: Perform content refreshes on existing site pages related to AVIXA Education to improve SEO performance. Contribute ideas for new ways to structure and organize pages on AVIXA.org.
• Keyword Research: Conduct monthly keyword research to identify growth opportunities and contribute to our broader Editorial SEO strategy.
• SEO Platform Maintenance: Assist Digital Content Manager by maintaining our Semrush account and tracking keywords and metrics.
• CMS Management: Update and optimize SEO content directly within our Content Management System (CMS). Experience with Storyblok or other headless CMS platforms is a bonus.

Requirements:

• Minimum of three years of experience in an SEO-focused role (contract or full-time) with demonstrable results.
• Experience with SEO platforms; SEMrush is preferred.
• Proven experience working within a CMS.
• Ability to manage tasks independently and efficiently with up to two virtual check-ins a month.
• Availability to work around 10-15 hours a week.
• English language proficiency.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with Storyblok or other headless CMS platforms.
• Experience with project management software like ClickUp.
• Background in or knowledge of the audiovisual industry.
