Dating & Relationship Host
About us:
Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia (A&AA) is the trusted national charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for all Australians with allergic disease.
For over 30 years, A&AA has been providing evidence-based education, raising awareness, and advocating for better outcomes for individuals, families, and communities impacted by allergies.
With a strong and growing presence, A&AA is at an exciting stage of development; expanding its reach, strengthening engagement, and building sustainable income streams to increase impact nationwide.
About the Role:
The Dating / Relationship Host is one of the feature personas whose focus is to empower people living with allergies. They will be joining a small team of other contract content creators reporting to A&AA’s Digital Content Lead.
The role is responsible for the execution of short form videos specified in briefs by the Digital Content Lead, acting as “agony aunt” and “wise elder sibling” by sharing sound advice and authentic experience. They call out the red flags and cut through the uncomfortable cringe with their wit and slightly chaotic tendencies. They are the perfect model of the person you’d turn to in your friendship group to have these conversations, but they understand that navigating allergy whilst dating has some added levels of nuance.
Key responsibilities:
- Take direction when filming short-form content with potential revisions or feedback from the Digital Content Lead
- Uphold brand guidelines and specifications of colour, font and tone of voice whilst creating content
- Pitch content ideas that encompass dating with allergy and await briefs to execute
- Edit videos with engagement and entertainment value in mind whilst keeping to the supplied brief
- Model appropriate behaviour and language surrounding allergy (not spreading misinformation etc)
About You:
- Skilled at filming videos and creating authentic content that entertains whilst it informs
- Experienced in following briefs when creating content
- Experienced in editing software (such as CapCut) to edit short form content
- Experienced in maintaining visual and brand identity (typography/colour etc) for an existing organisation
Not required but preferable
- Lived experience with allergies and/or anaphylaxis
