Job Description
Posted on: May 9, 2025
Who We Are:
Farrynheight is a world-class team of creatives, strategists, and marketers, known for bridging the gap between in-house teams and agencies. We pride ourselves on our collaborative and innovative approach to operationalizing brands. This role offers an opportunity to support our financial operations while being part of a dynamic, values-driven environment.
The Role:
We are seeking a Social Media Marketing Manager to lead social strategy and performance execution across Farrynheight’s client portfolio. This role blends operational excellence with creative instinct and a strong strategic point of view. You’ll manage the full publishing workflow — from content calendars and scheduling to real-time optimization — while also bringing fresh platform-first ideas, rollout plans, and tactical insights to drive impact across social.
This individual is chronically online, data-driven, and creatively minded. They have a deep understanding of how content and platforms interact — and know how to make both work harder. They think like a strategist, with the instincts to identify platform opportunities, optimize performance, and shape rollout plans that drive results. They are organized, detail-oriented, and a clear communicator — confident managing timelines, leading client conversations, and collaborating with internal and external partners. They are proactive, plugged in, and passionate about making sure content not only gets seen — but gets results.
Responsibilities:Platform Execution & Publishing
- Oversee publishing across all social channels — including scheduling, tagging, QA, and manual posting — ensuring content goes live accurately and on time.
- Manage client content calendars, aligning cadence with platform best practices, performance data, and cultural moments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Strategy, Creative, Paid Media, and Coordination teams to ensure content is optimized by platform, aligned in timing, and built to deliver on performance goals.
- Provide creative feedback and input to ensure assets are built for how people consume content on each platform.
- Lead community management across platforms — monitoring comments and DMs, engaging with followers, flagging sentiment trends, and identifying opportunities to foster deeper brand connections to drive brand visibility and relevance.
Performance Strategy & Optimization
- Track, analyze, and report on KPIs — including reach, engagement, impressions, and audience growth — translating data into clear, actionable insights.
- Monitor real-time performance and implement timely optimizations to sustain or accelerate results.
- Identify strategic use of platform-native tools (polls, collabs, trending audio, reminders) to drive KPIs and deepen engagement.
- Stay ahead of platform shifts, ongoing and upcoming trends, algorithm updates, and emerging behaviors to keep clients culturally relevant and ahead of the curve.
Strategic Rollouts & Recommendations
- Develop platform-first rollout strategies for evergreen content, campaigns, launches, and brand moments.
- Shape how, when, and where content shows up — ensuring every piece supports broader brand goals and performance targets.
- Immerse yourself in client social ecosystems to deeply understand the audience and deliver social calendars, strategic recommendations, and rollout plans with precision, insight, and creativity.
Collaboration & Communication
- Manage day-to-day client relationships with clarity and confidence — leading performance reporting, translating analytics into strategic insights, and presenting platform recommendations that drive forward-thinking decisions.
- Lead and support a cross-functional team of coordinators, interns, designers, copywriters, and creative partners to ensure all deliverables are executed on time, on brand, and in alignment with strategic goals.
- Own communication across internal teams, managing inbound requests, clarifying priorities, and ensuring alignment across strategy, content, and paid media efforts.
- Collaborate with UGC creators and content creators for owned social channels — managing briefing, content delivery, and feedback loops to ensure assets are platform-first, brand-aligned, and optimized for performance.
- Lead and facilitate editorial meetings, brainstorms, and planning sessions — helping translate strategic objectives into platform-first content opportunities.
Who You Are:
- Chronically online: deeply embedded in platform culture and behaviors, treating social like a native language.
- Obsessed with results: naturally curious about what drives performance, with a data-driven mindset and a sharp instinct for optimization.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized: exceptional at managing timelines, project workflows, and multiple moving pieces simultaneously.
- Strong project manager and time manager: able to drive deadlines, juggle multiple priorities, and execute at a high level.
- Clear communicator and collaborative partner: skilled at translating platform insights into client-facing recommendations and working cross-functionally to deliver results.
- Ambitious and self-driven: ready to learn fast, work smart, and level up consistently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Strategic thinker: comfortable using data, performance metrics, and real-time insights to inform decisions and drive channel success.
- Built for platform excellence: leading with precision, strategic timing, and data-backed performance insights to make every post land with maximum impact.
- Platform-savvy with tool fluency: experienced in social publishing and reporting tools like Later, Dash Hudson, Sprout Social, or equivalent.
- Natural trend forecaster: able to anticipate platform shifts, audience behaviors, and emerging cultural moments before they hit the mainstream.
What You Bring:
- 3–5 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, communications, content operations, or influencer marketing — agency experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
- Deep platform fluency: experienced across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Snapchat, and emerging channels.
- Strong creative eye: able to quickly recognize what makes a post thumb-stopping and compelling within platform-native environments.
- Experience in UGC and creator-led content: skilled at sourcing, briefing, and optimizing influencer and user-generated content to support storytelling and performance across owned channels.
