Evvolve & Partners is a merchant bank advising growth-stage founders on capital raising, with offices in New York, London, Dubai, and Hamburg. We work with family offices and institutional investors across North America, Europe, and the Middle East. As we scale our origination function, we are adding a new role at the top of our sales process.
Position summary
The Appointment Setter is the first point of contact for prospective clients who express interest in working with Evvolve. The role sits between marketing and our discovery team, with primary responsibility for qualifying inbound and outbound leads by phone and scheduling discovery meetings with our advisory representatives.
This is a qualification role, not a closing role. Success is measured by the volume and quality of meetings booked, the accuracy of qualification, and the downstream conversion of those meetings to signed engagements.
Key responsibilities
- Contact inbound and outbound prospects promptly following a positive response, typically within minutes of an inbound signal.
- Conduct a structured qualification by telephone, covering the prospect's current fundraising status, revenue, burn rate, runway, and overall fit.
- Where appropriate, schedule discovery meetings directly with the prospect during the call, using our round-robin scheduling system.
- Maintain accurate records of each interaction in our CRM and provide concise handover notes to the discovery team in advance of each meeting.
- Provide ongoing feedback to sales leadership on lead quality, common objections, and recurring qualification signals.
Candidate profile
We are seeking a recent graduate or candidate with one to two years of relevant experience in sales, business development, or client-facing financial services. The successful candidate will be articulate and confident on the telephone, comfortable speaking with founders and senior operators, and intellectually curious about venture capital, private markets, and the mechanics of capital raising. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with CRM systems are essential.
We do not require a specific academic background. We do require sound judgement, a professional telephone manner, and the ability to make clear qualification decisions under time pressure.
